  1. Right on when you TRY, it doesn't work, reacting what you see is where it is at.
  2. polish all the surfaces that touch and you will notice a much cleaner break. a 3.5 is nice to have on a Glock for sure.
  3. I just let them drop into a 5 gallon bucket, forgoing the bins
  4. Rhino, I must say that it is hard to stay relaxed playing wack-a-mole
  5. Shooting is a martial art. If you aren't very coordinated you might consider something like ballet or dance classes for your feet. Since being able to maintain your balance is important. I think that table tennis, or raquet ball would be a good supliment for endurance and your hand eye coordination. The ball moves fast and you have to train your eyes to see fast and stay relaxed. I think those would be better to help your shooting than a martial art. Martial arts are great for a lot of reasons, but the time they take to do right would severely cut in to your shooting time.
  6. CR speed - everything on the belt including the belt. Peltor muffs Mags - SV with Dawson pads SVI .40 - Built to your personal preferences. make sure you use slide glide Glasses - Don't matter in my book. Bag - Shooters Connection bag becasue it's big
  7. WTG, what's next? a G in front of all those M's
  8. You get what you pay for. Josh is a good guy, but I saw a gun he built for the singlestack classic a few years back and it had milling marks and burs on it. I have seen some really nice ones he's built also, but a few well. If you know Jacobe then ask him because he's built a few for him.
  9. Major drift. I don't think night sights are neccesary for anyone except possibly law enforcement, but then they usually have lights and lots of them. If you have a light you can see your sights. If you can't hit a your target without sites the threat is probably not close enough to be a real threat or you are not competent enough to be carrying at night. There is a certain cool factor to night sites, but once you pull the trigger once at night it takes awhile to see your sights again anyway because of the friggin' huge flash from your gun. Better to spend your money on ammo and dry firing. Just my 2 cents.
  10. If you are shooting in RENO remove it, they have a dust there that is insane.
  11. I hate people who hate our country. I hate people that think the government should run my life. I hate the DNC and the racists who run it. I like the people who did this http://www.ticz.com/homes/users/bob/On-A-Rock/On-A-Rock.htm
  12. Why? Just use hardcover and no-shoots. Just say no to ameobas!
  13. I like the look of the pistol grip stock, so for 2/3 gun I use it, since I care not how I finish. If I wanted to be a shotgun master I would use a strait stock. If anyone has a used stock cheap for a M1S90 I am in the market.
  14. Doesn't sound like gaming to me. It just sounds like a more efficient way to shoot the stage.
  15. BTW our course deisners shoot Open mostly. That might be part of the reason are targets are further away than some clubs, lots of room to shoot too. We commonly shoot 10" steel plates at 15-20 yards, and yes that is hard on the newbies, but it makes the major matches seem easier.
  16. Stalion that explains a lot of your smokin' times Our targets are more like 10-15 yards, about the same at 20 as 5, and lots of black and white. It makes it more fun
  17. You get twins to share, sign me up!!! I'l bet the GF wouldn't go for that one.
  18. I don't think he beat you up. I think you beat you up. I have that last stage on tape. Get him in 04
  19. Nope I find I shoot the fastest splits if I just relax and watch the sights recover. Pulling the trigger the exact moment the dot or sight returns will give you wicked fast splits. (.1-.13) That being said, splits don't mean much. The great ones seldom use wicked fast splits. They get great hits on EVERY target. A friend of mine who has shot in the Super Squad a time or two told me TGO claimed he could win any match ever if he could shoot .2 splits on every target. Just something to consider.
  20. Why do you assume it's an "either/or" case? Why not have the best gear AND training AND practice? A lot of people can afford it, so I don't see any point in them not getting really nice gear from the get go. Only because most can't, and I hate to see people wasting $$$. IPSC shooting has a fairly high attrition rate, and I just think it is better for people to give it a go for awhile to see how much they really like the sport, then make the huge investment in all the "good" stuff. I see too many people buy fancy guns, and then they can't afford bullets to shoot in them. Hey if money wasn't a factor, I would recommend something else, like hiring me to be your full time training partner For the average Joe, it is nice to know you "can" be competitive with simple gear if you work hard at it. For those that can afford it, they will buy the best anyways, so what's the point telling them to do so?
