  1. Trigonometry in shooting too? Thought I left that all behind me in high school and college. Liota
  2. Rhino, I have to echo Erik here. Is it still light? Looks good. Hopefully it will work well for you. Liota
  3. So you got the last set of those targets? I need to get a set for my desk. People always want to know what I do for leisure. Nice gun. Liota
  4. For a relatively new shooter, it forces her to attain a perfect grip every draw and that's a good thing. That's what a fat safety is for. You rest your thumb on it. Beth, your blaster is very cool. Have fun breaking it in! Liota
  5. Erik, The windmill is a blast to shoot. You can get all your hits if you hurry. Liota
  6. JB, Thanks for bringing that up. I had thought for a moment it was somewhat trivial. I load most of the primer tubes for us. After playing 100-primer-pickup a couple of times, I tend to think CCI and Winchester have better packaging. CCI and Federal have given me no problems for ignition. I have seen and had a couple of failures to ignite from Winchester. Liota
  7. Lynn, That isn't the windmill he is looking for. The one he is looking for is similar to the Texas Star in that there are four shoot targets spinning at an alarming rate when it gets to the end of its tether. Liota
  8. Come to think of it. FEDEX left my pretty new open gun on my doorstep twice. Each time it was marked TRIANGLE GUN SHOP and "Adult Signature Required." If I remember correctly, Benny was pretty hot about it. I was kind of pleased I didn't have to go to the airport to pick it up. Liota
  9. Josh, Ironically, for me, it was FEDEX that shipped the firearm with no quibbles. UPS did a stunning imitation of a male reproductive part. Liota
  10. Guys, I like the C-More for my open gun. The dot comes visible every time the gun comes up. Didn't get that with the Optima a friend mounted on his open gun, nor on my husband's open rifle. Wakal replaced the Optima with a C-More type sight and all works easier with the rifle. Here comes the big HOWEVER. I do like the Optima on my JP shotgun. It works really well for 3-gun. Can't hit squat with it in sporting clays, though. The looks on the faces of the shotgun club members was worth it, though. Liota
  11. Did wonder why you did that, Sandbagger. It makes sense now. Liota
  12. Bill, Check out MGM. They make great stuff. It stood up to outright abuse by rifle shooters trying to destroy it by shooting the hinges. Liota
  13. SIGLady, Great looking reloading station! Wonderful use of space! Wakal's and my first one was in a bedroom of our apartment in Hawaii. It was nice and somewhat spacious. We only hope no one smokes in that bedroom. One dropped lit cigarette and it's POOF! No carpet. Hawaii's high prices for ammo made us do it. We now are extremely grateful since we got a reasonably good deal on the press and such. We fell into the old thought "We'll save money." Gawd! What a hoot! Reality hit with "You can shoot twice as much for the same amount of money (or more) in components." Gotta love your supplier. Liota
  14. I can't very well say they're too expensive. I benefit. That and Benny's prices are extremely reasonable for what you get in return. Reneet, Michael Leck does some gunsmithing. I am not sure whether he does building, but I do know he does some work. Liota
  15. Same here ~ not to mention that the weak hand side of the ambi hits my strong hand. I use the weak side ambi just like I use the strong side ambi. It's a thumbrest for my weak hand. Liota
  16. Be good to see that Matt Minck guy again. Look for Wakal and me to be RO'ing. Liota
  17. Erik, Benny's trigger on my open gun is smooth as silk, crisp, hardly any take-up. It's a real pleasure to shoot. Did I mention my open gun is really pretty, too? Liota
  18. How about a plaque for the winners and a raffle afterward for the "prizes." I am very proud of the first plaque I won at a match. It means a lot more than the $$ that came with it. Just my $.02 Liota
  19. Benny, That thing is pretty! Would you let it come play with my pretty open gun at the Limited Nationals? Actually, Benny, the real question is: "Are you bringing that pretty little thing to the TX State Limited Championship next weekend?" Liota
  20. Here are a couple of pictures of Wakal's FF-.40 from the Texas State Limited a couple of years back. The one on the top is his FF .40. The one on the bottom is his new 9x23. Liota
  21. Wow! Glad to hear someone else was having the same problem. Before I realized what was going on, it went something like this. Bang Bang "Where's my dot?" Bang "There it is!" Bang Bang "Where the heck is my dot?!!?" Bang "There it is!" Bang Bang "Where the @&%$! is my dot?" Finally sent it back to C-More for repair. Liota
  22. Garret, I'm weighing in on this one a little late, but it seems that after an hour of practice with the tech loaders and a friend's Browning Gold, I did fairly well with the tech loaders at the Texas State 3-Gun. After three months, he still gives derisive snorts about the fact I loaded his shotgun better than he did. He told me that people did it faster, but none did it smoother. Pretty good for the first time I ever played seriously with tech loaders. Now I have to go practice with my new 1100. Liota
  23. Larry, They will go through a standard IPSC target. See my post above. The hole was through two boxes. Liota
