  3. Hi, Matt! Good to see you here, too. Will you be at Area 4 this year, too? That was a great squad. Liota

  5. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I encourage everyone to stay away from Starbucks mostly because of their overpriced, quasi haute caffeine (probably all from the same 50 pound coffee bag in the back room) and the attitude of Starbucks employees! The Starbucked attitude was doubly apparent on Sept. 11 when Starbucks charged rescue workers for water! Don't worry it's not an urban legend I checked. snopes What a bunch of losers. No one should have charged for water for that "little" rescue effort. The relief workers probably had just about enough water pouring down their cheeks already.

  8. Like I said, Erik, take it for what you will. I never trust these quotes from joke sites until I can verify them. It just sounded good. Liota

He was fired by CNN, too. If CNN fires you for your views, you should find another occupation. Liota
  10. This is attributed to Dennis Miller. I'm not sure it's him, but it seems to be sound thinking... Make your own judgement... "All the rhetoric on whether or not we should go to war against Iraq has got my insane little brain spinning like a roulette wheel. I enjoy reading opinions from both sides, but I have detected a hint of confusion from some of you. As I was reading the paper recently, I was reminded of the best advice someone ever gave me. He told me about the kiss method (keep it simple, stupid!) so, with this as a theme, I'd like to apply this theory for those who don't quite get it. My hope is that we can simplify things a bit and recognize a few important facts. Here are 10 things to consider when voicing an opinion on this important issue: 1) Between President Bush and Saddam Hussein ... Hussein is the bad guy. 2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing keep this in mind, they have: Libya heading the committee on human rights and Iraq heading the global disarmament committee. Do your own math here. 3) If you use google search and type in "French Military victories," your reply will be "Did you mean French Military defeats?" 4) If your only anti-war slogan is "no war for oil," sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserve. 5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us. 6) Despite common belief, Martin Sheen is not the president. He plays one on TV. 7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "infidel!" and Bin Laden wants you dead, too. 8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy" but not in the danger that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with the Dell computer dude. 9) We are not trying to liberate them. 10) Whether you are for military action or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all need to support them without reservation. I hope this helps." --Dennis Miller

The crime he is committing is treason. Giving aid to the enemy is a grave crime in war. He could unwittingly, of course, be helping American PSYOP efforts. Sun Tzu said that you should appear weak when you are strong and vice versa... Of course, he could just be a loser. Liota

    TEXAS STAR

4.5 seconds 5 shots with a .22, but not much different from the others. The D-class. On the "Star Magic" stage from the 2002 Carter Martin Classic, I did the stage in 32 seconds. It had two stars and a "hammer" (two-armed star). Best open time was 18.16 seconds by Ken Hicks. Liota

  17. Gentlemen, I think the NS behind the popper or plate is a good thing for C and D shooters, in moderation of course. We had such a stage at our last club match. Yours truly's husband set it up. The only people who had difficulties with it were those who tried to push the envelope to much. It was a fun little speed shoot with a challenge. It drove home the "slow down and call your shot" lesson. Good thing for folks who like to blast away. Made me think. Liota (Edited by Liota at 10:51 pm on Mar. 2, 2003)

    The French

Eric, I'd be willing to bet they were WWII vets or residents who are still grateful for what we did for them. There are places in France where an American serviceman's money is no good. He will eat, drink and have a great time courtesy of the locals. Some of them still remember. Liota

    Hazmat!

Eric, The soccer doesn't get it, because it's a popular kiddie pastime that allows moms to be "involved" in their kids' lives. It's "quality time." and all that bs. It doesn't involve responsible action on either the kid's or parents' parts. You know, like firearms or rockets. GRRRRR!!!!! Liota

  21. Quote: from 3quartertime on 8:16 am on Feb. 28, 2003 There was a writer in a gun rag that was testing a glock 17 under goofy conditions like that. I don't think he ever got it to fail. It sounds like you are talking about Chuck Taylor. He did all those goofy tests like dropping it in snow and letting it freeze, pulling it out, shaking the snow off, shooting a mag full through it, reload, drop in snow, repeat. He did it with mud, sea water, and a bunch of stuff. The Glock didn't fail. You should see his Glock, though. All the finish is gone from the slide. It has a nice grey patina. The grip is scratched all to heck. In 1998 when Wakal and I took the class from him, he said he had over 2,000,000 presentations from the holster with it and I don't remember how many rounds through it. Liota
  22. Just recently I figured out how I had two squibs in my 9x23 loads. Usually I have problems with the primer bar not wanting to keep the primer upright and seat it. While I was carefully making sure my primers seated properly, I didn't notice for a couple of rounds that the powder bar guide came loose. As a result, two squibs got through. What a bummer. Will try not to do that again. Liota

Maybe, if you're lucky. Most women have a memory like an elephant's for the bad stuff. Just ask my husband.
