  1. That assumes they have any Versa Max's in stock. My bet would be they are sending them out as soon as they are made, then waiting around on more parts to build additional guns. Not excusing the service (and really hoping mine doesn't do the same thing when I get it back from the smith).
  2. I'd be happy to add an "underwear must be worn by all kilt wearing RM's". Not that I'm singling anyone in particular out.
  3. I'll see if the local Glock rep can come up with a braver tail for me to try out in the box and let you know. I'm not holding my breath though. Met with him about a months ago and they didn't even have one to show the Adv Arnorers course.
  4. Wait list has been more than earned for many years. I remember when it wasn't the case but can remember when the change hit. It was around the time they actually started filling the match and having to turn people away though.
  5. i didn't see go to the range in that paragraph The staff took the RO class. Part of that is a range session. Kim thought it would help them to know something about our side of the sport when they are working in the office. I agree.
  6. We had 72 at our monthly USPSA yesterday. 70-80 last couple months at the Steel Challenge match. Almost everyone shooting .22 at Steel. Seems about average.
  7. If you want to try a Warne RAMP to see if it works send me a PM. I think a lot depends on you shooting style. If you put your nose on the charging handle it probably won't have enough eye relief. Most won't. If you shoot a bit more heads up it should be fine.
  8. I'm almost hesitant to post anymore, but... How do you want to see changes noted in an online rule book. My concern is making changes to an online document without making it very clear what is new information. I don't want to make someone print out a 100 pages everytime we change the wording on some rule. Should there be a list of adjustments at the front with links to the page? Should the old rule be included but lined out? There is obviously smart people on here, so what is the best way to do this, rather than reinventing the wheel. And Brandon, no USPSA did not have a booth. When the show floor was adjusted the place they used to use for the Non-profit groups basically went away. Most of the groups that used to have booths quit going to set up. I can't speak for Kim (or Dave since it was his decision) but I would rather USPSA didn't waste the money on a booth at SHOT. The NRA show is a different matter, but the expense of setting up and staffing a booth at SHOT is right around 10K even with the booth being free. Instead Kim, Phil, several memebers of the USPSA BOD, and several other representatives from USPSA went out and met with members and sponsors. If you think Kim wasn't busy because she wasn't in a booth, well I'll take that into account on how I value your opinion in the future.
  9. Not entirely sure why they pulled the links. It's only good if you are attending the Texas MG match. You can find the links on the Texasmultigun.com website. First under Sponsor Spotlight (at least now)
  10. Thanks I just ordered the one it will let me.
  11. She's been at the job barely two months and a significant amount of that time was occupied with the budget, audit and SHOT Show. She's got plans, give her a few months to get things implemented.
  12. Take a quick look at the year I said the changes were approved. 2011. They were announced for over a year before taking effect. They've been announced for so long some people forgot.
  13. The confusion is probably coming because the plan WAS to have a new rule book by Jan 2013. There is a draft book that we were planning to vote on but there were some others discussions that took precedence. At this point, again in my opinion, I'd rather take a bit more time to go over any potential rule changes.
  14. There haven't been any changes other than those. At least not that I recall off the top of my head. There is a new rule book we are working on but it's barely been discussed by the BOD. I seriously doubt it will be voted on until the June BOD meeting and probably won't go into effect until 2014. But that's just my opinion on the time frame.
  15. It's not the last. It's back in 2011. Effective Jan 1 2013. John talks about it in the new issue if Front Sight.
  16. Hey, I've got an idea. You have to hit the clay with at least 15 pellets. The RO needs to ensure that the clay was sufficiently hit by counting pellet hits. That way it's the same for everyone. Or I suppose we could always come up with a clay overlay, like for pistol rounds. Or we could just go with what Rob says above, and almost all the other IMGA matches do. If you hit it and break a piece off, it counts. 1 pellet, 2 pellet, 3 pellet who cares.
  17. On the website. 200 rifle, 150 pistol, 70 birdshot, 5 slugs and 15 buckshot.
  18. Might want to take a Glock armorers class. The Glock Striker is only partially cocked. The trigger press finishes the rest of the way. Not quite DA, not SA. The Springfield operates the way you describe.
  19. And since I'm on my phone and can't figure out smileys the last post was a joke. I have no idea what a lightened VM bolt would do. But almost certainly not that.
  20. And like Kurt always recommends, get the bolt lightened to make it run better with light loads. (Just kidding, Kurt doesn't recommend it...he guarantees it. )
  21. USPSA is only 8+1 at the start. Load it up after the signal. Changed at the beginning of the year.
  22. Ask to see a Supervisor at the UPS location? First I've heard and I always declare my ammo.
  23. 2lb trigger or heavier and all working safeties including the grip safety. They check before the match and randomly during. Other than that its pretty much anything goes. Definitely all you are talking about. Are you a junior attending for the first time? If so Midway had in years past offered very generous cash incentives for first time shooters in Production. It's a great way to start out. Not sure if they are doing it this year.
  24. That was a specific statement about some specific rules. While it stands for the L10/Lim appendix rule changes and the magnetic mag holders, there are a handful of new rules that have been proposed for the 2013 rule book that it wouldn't apply to. Just don't want to add any confusion.
