  1. Mod 1 Firearms. (Facebook site). Pike does great work. He is very meticulous. I had him do the grip and sides of the forearm. disclosure.... we are shooting buddies.
  2. Steve Southerland. I just talked to him. He has quite a few ready to go. $30 shipped in the cont US. He has only been selling them to friends and people he shoots with. Send him an email and he will hook you up. I have run one on my M1 for the last 3 years, no problems. His email is steve "dot" southerland "at" me "dot" com.
  3. Steve, great poster! How many times have I had to figure that out!
  4. You need 3. Cylinder- light mod - imp mod The imp mod will save you some steps eventually at a match. I also use when the no-shoots are tricky. ... And read Patrick's great article.
  5. If I know most competitive shotguners, they will buy the next best thing. If it improves anything +5% they will want it, at least try it. I am sure I will order all 3.
  6. Use the large flat screws like the belt already had. Figure and drill holes to match the shell holders. Sheet (s) of flexible plastic sheeting for reinforcement/support (if you look hard at the pic you can see I used two thin flexible sheets of plastic). Large flat washers to build the height to the original vest shell holders. Of course figuring it all out with the right screw length, spacing, etc....
  7. I have been looking for a way to practice and maybe convert to quad loading without giving up the safety of my pretty quick Two-load patented "pistol grip flip". This was my Saturday in the man cave. I have tried it out now with just putting 2 shells on each quad (like I am used to) and it still works well doing Two-loading. The quad loading I should be able to work in this year. The quad parts are Invictus Practical. http://www.invictuspractical.com/4our-square.html The belt I have been using is Chameleon Fabrics Two-Load vest. http://www.chameleon-fabrics.com/belts/loadtwo-belt I also tried the TACCOM Quad Loader and it also worked well on the Chameleon belt. http://www.taccom3g.com/QUALOAD_SHELL_HOLDER.html In my opinion both the Invictus and Taccom are good quads. I think if you have large wide hands the Taccom will be smoother because of the grab distance between the shell top and bottom holds. If you want to try this, you will have to do some man cave engineering. Probably a good 4-6 hour project. If anyone wants to try I can post some more detail pics. Gb
  8. Most of us 3gunners grind off that sharp bottom corner of the recoil pad. I guess it depends on what pad you have...wether it can be ground.
  9. If you and afford to, buy a great 3 gun shotgun and stick with it. A Benelli/? may cost some bucks but you can also usually get some your money back if you decide 3gun is not for you. My Benelli M1 has thousands of rounds through it. Just got a new paint job. Get a good gun smith to make it ready to compete, that way it will be all your skill and technique. The newer shooters that get good equipment with all the fixings really seem to jump in the scoring.
  10. There a little nasty anyways. The black "paint" on the metal gets all over your hands and clothes. Get a reloaded buddy to make you some dummy's.
  11. You and I are shooting every shotgun match within 5 hours this year. No excuses. And we'll make BrYan drive.
  12. Just finally figured out that you can't view stages with ipad. You have to hover over with mouse in windows.
  13. In plane on the way back from 4 days in Vegas with some on my best friends. Might be a little tougher match this year! Two days to get my s#%t together and dry out. See already working on my excuses!
  14. 8 lb 6oz 18" lt weight JP Hacked off 1/2 of gas block 17.6 oz scope Vltor plas butt, full size SJC comp AP fiber forearm Low mass JP bolt. That is as light as I could get it without changing the comp, barrel or scope.
  15. Odd Month 4th Saturday Local Match. 3GN Club Series. All info is on our website at http://www.bgslinc.c...&load=Home.html 5 SLUGS
  16. Read this before, I think from a Rem Engineer. The 3.5" recoil is too much force on the shell catch with the 6-8 3.5" shells in the tube. Think about a 3.5" load recoiling the shells towards the muzzle and then slamming on the shell catch latch. Shell catch/bolt release not designed for that type of punishment. Therefore labeled 3" when they added the tube.
