  1. Yeah, the classifier calculator is off on this one since USPSA must have re-figured it. The calculator had me at 90% Prod and it came in at 78%.
  2. Sandro, I didnt know you were from my hometown.
  3. Yeah, the triggers Ive felt are unbelieveable and like that from the factory, out of the box. I felt a few at the Lim/Prod Nats and the CZ rep said the triggers are like that out of the box, straight from the factory. Would like to shoot one with a 40 major Lim load and see how it handles, flip/recoil etc.
  4. Kevin, I was set-up ... First Sandro tells me to post the comment and then forwards the thread in an e-mail to you! I feel SOO used and dirty! Oh well ... back to "Underground" mode.... I should have known the little Mexican had something to do with it!
  5. Wow, Leo's going hard core!! You go on vacation and dont see this board for 4 days and they string you up. Great video though, and after that comment Leo, you're not safe anywhere.
  6. Id love to attend, but that will be kind of far for me that weekend. If Matt could get a little closer to Florida, now we're talking. How about another class a little closer to Florida or even in Florida, huh Matt?
  7. I agree, it could work out to be something really useful. Plus, if it increases your vision and maybe assists in speeding up your vision, couldnt hurt.
  8. I agree, its Julie's business why she switched and if she doesnt want to go any further, thats her business.
  9. Id clean it after 1500-2000 rounds. One of the great things about them. Plus, I only broke the mags down to clean them out after they hit the ground during a stage every 4-5 times they hit the ground, never had to do it every time they hit the ground. Most guns, everytime it hits the ground during a match, it gets cleaned.
  10. I bet one of the 5900 series, all steel 9mm's.
  11. Congrats Julie, you'll do great! I wonder why she switched?
  12. Good deal, very smart on Glocks part too. Pretty cute girl too.
  13. Hopefully for S&W's sake, it doesnt do the same thing as the Sigma. I think Smith might be back in the running and if the guns runs well more shooters start shooting them, they'll be fine, but worst thing that can happen is to start having issues already. Then everyone will figure its just like the Sigma and ditch it forever. I really liked the one I shot and was pretty happy with it, I hope it runs the same.
  14. That's a pretty good deal. Some of the dealers locally are really trying to stick it to buyers. One dealer had this big promo with S&W reps and sent out flyers and pamphlets on these supposed great deals. Their great deal was $550, plus tax anything else. You were basically at $600. I know dealer/law enforcement is low $400's. That dealer is making a $125 profit per gun. I'll wait til the gun proves itself and I find a better deal.
  15. Come Flex, always looking for different insights. What do you think about combining and the DOH?
  16. Good deal, I appreciate Z man and everyone chiming in and giving us the info. I agree that now is the time to make our opinions heard and not after they are banned. That's fine for 1911 Society if they want to ban it, but we are not the 1911 Society and Heinie, Wilson and Hackathorn can keep their rules for IDPA. Right now USPSA Prod works as is. I think it might be the fastest (or second fastest) growing division.
  17. kush, The standard SP01 trigger is more curved than the 85 triggers and the SP01 triggers do not have an overtravel screw. The 85 trigger does have an overtravel screw, but because it is shaped different, the DA shot feels longer to reach than the SP01 triggers. Ive never shot an 85 Combat, so I dont know what it feels like.
  18. I have an SP01 that Matt did the trigger on and its a sweet trigger. I have felt trigger jobs that Angus did and they are also pretty sweet. How much do these things weigh?
  19. I agree, you get tons of shooters from another sport, where they pissed off the membership by changing rules about holsters/equipment, and we do the same thing! Hope this is just a rumor and not true. Production works as is, why are we screwing around with it? Why do we have to start listening and having the Wilson/Hackathorn IDPA rule stuff in USPSA? If we start making Production like SS, then the only difference is a SA gun and round count. Wow, what a very different division to shoot in!! Lets hope this is a rumor and they dont start screwing around w/ Prod.
  20. I would check on CZshooters.com where Matt Mink is the moderator and sponsored CZ shooter. I heard he has performed work on 97's to trick them out for competition.
  21. Chuck, I dont know, I use the SP01 for USPSA Prod and have always been known to have the ugliest around. As long as they shoot 100% and are getting me A's, Im not too picky how they look. Leather, definitely not, always been a kydex kind of guy. Kory, I have the wood grips now and put skateboard tape on them the second I got them. Ive shot with skateboard tape for about 11-12 years now and the rubber just didnt do it for me. The wood is more slippery than the rubber, but thats just plain with no skateboard tape.
  22. NO, No, No, that could turn this into an arms race and maybe cost upwards of 20 or 30 dollars. It would be better to tell you to shoot a gun that you didn't need to modify.
  23. Well, shot 400 rounds out of my new SP01 (from Matt) on Sat. Nice gun, trying to get used to the trigger. Had a few issued, but I believe they were attributed to the overtravel screw in the trigger. Definitely have to get rid of the rubber grips, dont like them at all. I have wood ones coming from Angus that cant get here fast enough.
  24. Personally, I really like the mag pouches made by Kytac. He makes great mag pouches that are fast and easy to get to and maintain. The CR Speed pouches are also excellent.
