  1. Mine was BAD dirty, and it made a difference when I cleaned it....for the better
  2. So, Do I need to order another toolhead for the 1050 when I get it?
  3. Good stuff guys, I'm gonna go ahead and get the 1050, ill figure out the most efficient setup, between the presses. My idea, is to keep it as automated as possible (fewer changouts). All the single touching of brass has really left me with a sour taste for reloading high volume rifle. I've got a vaccum, I knew that would be necessary for the rt1200.
  4. I heard TGO say that in an interview. "I start and end all of my practice sessions shooting a slow group"
  5. 50 yard sprints with all of my 3gun gear on, carrying my rifle, stopping at a shooting box, and putting 2 in the A-zone at 50yds, walk back and repeat until p-mag is empty. This is one of my favorites!
  6. Well, I am shooting Limited It won't be pretty, but nothing I do ever is.
  7. I was considering it for TX multigun. I figured if I cut one out of my beard, that alone sould shave off 2 seconds from my weakhand shotgun reload. Tell you what, I'll do it if the yes outways the no.
  8. I want to simplify my .223 processing. I'm thinking 1050, with casefeeder, and rapid trim. 2 steps.......resize, swage, rapid trim.....then clean, prime, charge, and seat. I have a 550, XL650 already, but I've been single stage resizing, single trimming, super swage, single chamfer, then charge and seat on the 550. It wears me out to prep, loading is not that bad, but My birthday is coming up, and I'm due for something nice. 1050 rapid trim case feeder (.223) is what I "think" I need. So, what say you enosverse?...
  9. Get thru the first stage clean, bring what you would to any match, read Sean Gaines thread "Food for Thought" before you go. Good luck, shoot safe!
  10. Is it hoarding if you shoot constantly? I've got a good pile, but I blast'em like mad too.
  11. Are you squeezing the trigger strait back? Trigger right in the middle of your finger pad? Dry fire, dry fire, dry fire..... Jerry Miculek told me once, "If you look for holes, someone has already beat you."
  12. I almost got "out" in 2009. That shouldn't be a concern now. I just ordered the max for 1 hazmat fee. 30k pistol, 20k rifle. I got something like 35k right now, but when those little boogers are gone, the price will be up or, maybe none available. I'm ccalling it "a good buffer"
  13. while they are still available......ahhhhhh, don't gotta worry about "that" for a while now.
  14. Sounds like it would be worth going for, and finding out if it works for your setup. I've got a Larue QD mount on my shelf that I been wanting to try out, but I need another upper, and optic, and the desire to shoot tac-optics, so I can try it out. Let us know your results.
  15. Fully reliable 2011, with tuned mags are what I see most folks winning with in limited. Usually, a custom build. 6" or 5" or full dust cover, or half dust cover, is personal preferance. Or, sometimes a Glock. (sorry, had to)
  16. By some strange coincidence my brother's father-in-law, exploded his 300 win mag bolt gun, and it blew him off of the bench and on the ground, this Saturday. He called my brother because he knew the speed dial button by feel. He damaged one eye, and was cut up pretty bad on his scalp and face. I wonder what his final conclusion will be after examination. At least you figured it out! I bet it would eat you up even more "not knowing" what happened.
  17. It should. If not, you could hit them with some paint, or a white dot with a toothpick. I'm assuming the sight is fixed, and not in a dovetail or anything.
  18. Some cold blue and a q-tip.
  19. Dang man, now I'm all ready to shoot some stuff.....
  20. With limited you can better concentrate on aspects of the game such as footwork and movement, without doing a reload every time you start to move. I know these things are important to both divisions, but that was what someone told me when I asked that question years ago. I love Limited now, in fact, now that I think about it.....I do not even have a production gun.... I need to get another one I guess. ha ha ha.
  21. Glad your OK dude! That really sucks though. At least you got time to scrape together something to put that scope on before TX MGC.
