  1. My slide weighs 11.8oz with rib cuts, 3 holes on each side were the recoil spring is and 2 holes on each side near the firing pin.
  2. I agree, no need for 1st focal on low powered optics.
  3. I wonder if Linda would look at the results again but instead of changing Daniel to minor and major, choose a 5th and 10th place person to see if it would have changed their position. I realize that Daniel is going to be where he's at do to his skills more than equipment but maybe for an average guy, equipment might make a bigger difference.
  4. I'm an optic junky that has turned irons but I like Eriks US Optic retical, I did a layout of the drops and how they would look in the retical, I'm not 100% sure, this is just my interpretation of what they are trying to accomplish, the pics on CPWSA didn't do it justice IMO so here. The targets is a 10" round plate that gets smaller at the farther distances and then I put a larue as well at 5 & 6. edited to add the 55moa ring. Keep in mind that there is lots of space from the retical to the edge of scope but the retical would be harder to see on these pics.
  5. I had mine welded up by Jeff Cockrum, goes by C-Rums on the board and he did a perfect job. He's also done several benellis for me and they all have turned out great. I bet he can fix it, eaven if you bought a new one, you would probably want to get it welded up so this will save a step. http://www.c-rums.com/
  6. This isn't exactly a limited gun due to 9mm but Its my 3-gun pistol.
  7. MAMMO here on the board sent off his benelli rifle sighted barrel to Briley and had them install a set of remington rifle sights in their place. It looks nice and is just right for slug shooting.
  8. This match was great, R.O.s were awesome and stages were good. I had a great time at my first USPSA match and first time shooting irons. I'll be back and will probably bring some friends(If I have any this time next year). Unfortunatly I got thrown in with the optic guys by mistake so I'm looking foward to some results if any one knows where to find them. Thanks Sheldon PS. Pull both triggers on the coach gun! Squad 3 knows what I mean.
  9. I agree with mpeltier, buy a JP lightened bolt carrier and buffer and that should help the small amount of gas you have cycle better due to less weight of mass its moving. You could also barrow a friends carbine lower to see if just the buffer and spring difference would help.
  10. The Lone Wolf upper is sweet, I've been real happy. The rear sight is a dawson. http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDeta...0000-1093363057
  11. THAT REMINDS ME OF MY 6 INCHER AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO TAKE OUT A LOAN.
  12. Pieced together by me. Sabre upper, DPMS lower JP 20" Henning comp VTac handguard Larue mount Swaro 1-6 Rock Rover 2 stage Jp lightend bolt, adj gas block & lighten buffer Ace socom stock
  13. Here is a couple closer pics of my black one.
  14. I just wanted to tell people about a newer comp to the market. In my opinion it is in the top 3 of all the comps on the market. These comps come in 3 different tapers for different barrel diameters and 3 different finishes, depending on your barrel. Henning has hit a home run with this design and I am very happy with my 4. Here is one of mine on my JP 20"
  15. Being an AR guy, I'm always looking for something to help me shoot better and faster, Comps make a huge difference IMO. I've tried probably 10 different kinds with good results but when I first saw this comp, I had to try it. I thought it had ton's of surface area, the right amount of down force and the perfect look, not too long or too small and when he started offering differnt tapers and finishes I thought it couldn't get any better. I just wanted to give Henning a pat on the back for doing a good job and being easy to work with, I'm sure most of yall know what a good guy he is. Here are some pics of my 4. The 308 comps will be my next purchases. here it is on my 20" JP my 18" JP my 20" loather walther irons gun my 18" rainier red dot gun
  16. I don't know how any one could complain about any part of that match. It was like Christmas in March, I'll list a few things to help some of yall out. 1.) We got to shoot a mini gun 2.) We got to shoot an OSR 3.) We got to shoot a Short Barreled AR 4.) We got fed good food all day, both days 5.) We got to shoot some of the best/hardest stages I've ran across 6.) We got treated to the best prize table I've seen 7.) We got to shoot with or against some of the best in America. 8.) We got to shoot a mini gun The RO's were fantastic and my gratitude goes out to all of them and the set up staff, stats workers, cooks, TJ, Mark and Greg. You guys accomplished alot and looked good doing it. I'm looking foward to next year! Sheldon
  17. Until Glock34insa adds new pics of the match I have one to show. It was the range puppy running around that morning, it decided to climb up on my bag and gun to take a rest. TMXRACER snapped the shot and here it is.
  18. My vote would go for another weaver 1-3 with a larue mount. The millet is a good buy also.
  19. I second the LOTS OF AMMO comment. Its cool to have them but its cooler to be good with them.
  20. I like the 18" for most matches but like the 20" for longer stuff and 17" for the shorter so I was wondering what was the most popular in 3-gun.
  21. I thought the bigger one felt softer but not by much, but I'm the type of guy that thinks even a little bit is worth it.
  22. THE PART IS http://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPGS-2FS IT HAD PLENTY OF ROOM TO GET GOOD AND TIGHT. Most barrels are .730 or so behind the muzzle. You had no problems with a .750 ID front sight on a .730 OD barrel? How hard did you have to tighten the bolts? Or does JP make a .730 front sight? I know they make a .730 railed block, but the sight tower looks like a better way to go. Thanks, Bill
  23. I ended up buying the Jp front sight and was very happy...worth every penny if you use it as a gas block and worth most of it as just a front sight. It didn't make the gun nose heavy like some picatiny gas block/front sight combo's and it even came with a .40 sight post.
  24. That is a nice looking comp...good job. There is only a few small comps on the market and I think there is plenty of room for another that actually works.
  25. I think that is a good concept. TJ, you are just the guy to dream up some challenging stages. The team sniper matches have been a blast and I'm sure this would be too. You do a good job of letting the teams figure out the problems instead of telling them how to shoot it and see who is faster at the one way. Sheldon
