Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Yes, this is it for now. Once the stages are 100% finished, there will be an official one for the RO's at each stage and some at sign in.
  2. Round count is right around 70 on all 3 guns, no slugs needed. The prize table is looking sweet for a regional match. We are requiring a sling for your rifle on a stage 7. Also we have room if anyone wants to bring a friend. Stage 1 is all shotgun 30 targets Stage 2 is a bay stage with all pistol, 42 rounds Stage 3 is a bay stage with all 3 guns 15r,14s and 14 pistol Stage 4 is a bay stage with all 3 guns 12r,14s and 10 pistol Stage 5 is a long range stage out to 530 12r and 16 pistol Stage 6 is a natural terrain stage with long range rifle out to 475, 12r Stage 7 is a natural terrain stage with offhand rifle and shotgun 10r and 12 shotgun
  3. Xtreme multigun is hosting a regional 3-gun match in Waxahachie Texas at the ever growing ETTS range. It has a nice mix of bays and natural terrain. There will be 5 stages on Saturday and 3 on Sunday, awards and prizes will be one hour after last shot fired so everyone can get home at a decent hour. RO's will shoot Friday the 2nd. Entry is $200 and will be open Thursday morning. We will have 5 classifications, Tac scope, Tac 1x, Tac Heavy, Open and LE which is identical to Tac 1x but only applies to law enforcement. We are going to limit entries to 175 due to daylight restrictions. Check out the Website Thursday morning for more details. Xtrememultigun.com Stage descriptions will be released in a couple weeks, they will put a smile on your face and make your trigger finger tired. Hope to see you there. Sheldon Blackwell
  4. Here is all the guys and gals that helped put it on. It was a pleasure to work with this group. Also, all the constructive criticism is welcomed, we will put on a better match next year with most of this input incorporated. Sheldon Blackwell
  5. Here are a few pics of the natural terrain at the range, very beautiful and perfect for a great 3-gun match.
  6. MATCH CANCELED DUE TO RANGE NEIGHBOR DISPUTE. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE!

  8. I like the idea of coaching jr's and newby's but not anyone else. Having a plan and executing it is 70% mental and 30% physical, If you have a team on your side with the mental part you will shoot better but its not just all you, its you and your team so I see it as an unfair advantage to someone not getting coached through the course of fire. If the rules allow it then its no big deal but If they say no coaching then it is cheating...plain and simple. Sheldon Blackwell
  9. I use the truglo sights on my M1 & M2, they are solid and completly adjustable. I do put some loctite between them and the vent rib to make sure they stay put. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=666597
  10. I have a custom rem 700 rebarreled in a Kreiger barrel that has the creedmoor chamber. It is a sweet shooting gun that I've been impressed with since day one. I've had another precision rig in 260 and was getting the same results from it, both shot a 140 Vmax or 139 lapua 2800 fps at 1/2 to 1 MOA out to 1000 with not much kick. The only advantage I see with a creedmoor is the factory ammo option. Hornady makes match ammo for about $26 a box of 20. Not bad for the results they give. I think the 260 is still a great option if you reload and probably better since there is more brass options available.
  11. I think they work, I just don't think they are needed for 3-gun but neither is a B.A.D. lever and it seems everyone but me has one of them so get the heatsink if you want to, its your gun.
  12. That looked very smooth. Nice transitions and reloads on the move. That also looked like a great place to shoot. Good job and keep sharing. I also think Rainier Arms is a great place to shop. Sheldon
  13. Sheldon - you ROCKED IT at the LaRue Match my friend!! Very nice shooting against some of the best in the Nation.

    Doug

  14. I had an LMT 10.5 that was about an MOA rifle, I never had any problems with it but if I wanted another shorty I'd probably build one, cheaper and the end result will probably be the same quality.
