  1. In your post you snipped only a portion of the rule. You only posted the portion of the rule that supports your view. It reads much different in its entirety. 2.1.4 Target Locations – When a course is constructed to include target locations other than immediately downrange, organizers and officials must protect or restrict surrounding areas to which competitors, officials or spectators have access. Each competitor must be allowed to solve the competitive problem in his own way and must not be hindered by being forced to act in any manner which might cause unsafe action. Targets must be arranged so that shooting at them on an “as and when visible” basis will not cause competitors to breach safe angles of fire. Why don't the rules just state "targets must not be visible from beyond the 180"? Are those that support the "not visible from beyond the 180" stage design philosophy, advocates of adding this to the rulebook?
  2. This was the issue on my SP01. The sharp edge at the bottom of the breechface was stripping the top round forward when it chambered the current round. The way I was able to correct it was to slightly break the bottom of the breechface.
  3. Use some common sense. Look at the subject of the thread. You know there are ROs that are come trotting along 3-5 seconds after the shooter is done with the COF. Take what you do seriously if you are going to run the timer. I'm sure RO class covered this just like mine did.
  4. What you just mentioned... "before the RO gets up to me" .... is an issue. The RO should ALWAYS be with the shooter. If you are not with the shooter, you cannot control the shooter. Agreed, shooters need to wait for range commands even at the end of a COF.
  5. 8.1.2.2 “Double action” – chamber loaded, hammer fully down or decocked. Hammer fully down and decocked are different things when referencing the ready position. Decocked if that is a function of the firearm or hammer fully down if no decocker.

    Stanley Cup

Playoff hockey is like no other major sport. The game play ramaps up versus regular season and goaltending is key. Love the game!
  7. Here are the two replies: >>>>>>>> You can typically move the magwell back and forth a little. Try to tighten it down as far back as possible. If that doesn't work, then you may need to open the hole where the screw goes to be able to move it a little further back. That's probably the best way. Otherwise you can shave a little bit off the back of the basepads. But that doesn't look that great. If you don't want to do this yourself, you can send it to us and we can install everything. >>>>>>>>>> There are a couple of things that may be causing your 10mm magazine jam issue. The first may be that your mag catch latch is too long and is not clearing the side of the mag body when you push the mag release in. The easiest way to test this is to disassemble the magazine and insert only the magazine tube into the gun then push the mag release to see if it drops free as it should. If it does not then your mag catch latch is too long and you will have to shorten it a little bit to clear the mag body. The Second possibility could be a manufacturing defect on the frame. When EAA cuts the sides of the bottom of the frame to fit the standard magwell they some times cut one side deeper than the other. When these cuts are off center it allows the magwell to be biased excessively one direction or the other when you tighten down the magwell retaining screw. If the magwell is not centered on the frame either front to back or left to right it will cause an edge of the magwell to hang over the magwell opening of the frame. To overcome this issue you may have to modify the frame to get the magwell to center on the frame properly. You may also have to modify the inside edges of the magwell to make sure that the aluminum magwell edges blend with the steel frame perfectly. When you run your finger across the connecting point between the magwell and the frame you shouldnt feel any excessive edges or ridges. If there are excessive edges or ridges you will have to remove them as they will cause issues. If the frame is so poorly cut that an excessive magwell alignment issue is present you may have to modify the outside edges of the base pads so that they do not contact the magwell when the magazine is seated. Lastly the new style 10mm magazines (they have a "K10" stamp on the side) are known to bow out and jam in the gun when you load them with more than 16 rounds. Currently, the only 10mm magazines that work in a high capacity configuration are the old style magazines which have a triangle with a "T" inside of it stamped on the side of the body. First find out what version of 10mm magazines you have as that may be the whole issue.

    Brake Cleaner

I've been using non-chlorine brake cleaner for a few years now on my SP01. Some of the crud recrystalizes on the exterior leaving white dots. I lightly wipe the gun with Hoppe's elite on a patch and the dots and haze is gone. Other than the missing red dot, I haven't seen any issues. I do avoid the FO in the front sight and the grip tape though. I have recently been trying carb cleaner. It cleans well and doesn't seem as harsh as brake cleaner. No hazing on the gun after I clean with it either. As a note, I clean and oil my barrel separately. Not sure why, but I do.
  9. Hilarious! I was thinking the exact same thing.
  10. I had same issue with mags binding. I got two very prompt replies. One being directly from Henning. No more issue. You might try being more polite. Accusing somebody of taking money won't get you good service. I'd pass along his advice, but with how you just flamed him I'll let you talk to him directly.
  11. First page of the the rulebook. "Principles of USPSA Competitions" 8. Practical competition is free-style. In essence, the competitive problem is posed in general and the participant is permitted the freedom to solve it in the manner he considers best within the limitations of the competitive situation as provided. Requiring competitors to think is part of the game. The guys are spot on here. This is a game. We play in competitive situations, not realism.
  12. Henning magwell. No issue installing. Slid on snug, but without much effort. Bolt hole lined up perfectly.
  13. The back of the Henning basepads are jamming against the inside of the magwell. Not happening on .40cal tubes. Only doing it on the 10mm tube. The magwell is aligned externally. However, the inside of the magwell is not quite flush with the inside of the rear of the mag opening. The contact point of the basepad and the magwell which is causing jamming is right in the middle of the relief pocket for the basepad retention screw. Is there an issue with the tolerances on the magwell? Has anyone else had an issue and if so what is the fix?
  14. DVC This is the premise of our sport even in Production. There are at least a dozen reasonably priced factory ammo choices that will make 125pf. Precision Delta and Atlanta Arms also make reloaded ammo in 9mm that is comparable to WWB in PF.
  15. You need to pass the timer to someone else. Grabbing the time starts with being able to use proper range commands.
  16. Why would a new shooter worry about using a barney mag? Put a mag in, rack the slide and go. Watch your muzzle and your trigger finger. Shouldn't matter how many rounds you start with.
  17. It already is broken up. The last nationals that had all divisions shooting during the same dates was 2004. Are they really? Could a shooter be the 2011 Production and Limited National champion or the Open and L-10 champ? Do individual squads at the various Nationals have more than one division present? I just assumed it was a pick and choose when you attended and event. I have yet to attend a Nationals.
  18. Just brainstorming here. Can Nationals be broken up and run as separate matches? How about Nationals be a week long event. Sat/Sun - Limited Mon/Tue - L10/SS/Revo Wed/Thur - Production Fri/Sat - Open Lots of shooters on site means lots of ROs. Which also means ROs can break up an not have to work entire tournament. It also means if a shooter is good enough, they can shoot in multiple National championships. Again, just brainstorming out loud. I agree nationals should be our premier event.
  19. I got a carry gun from them last summer. They provided fantastic customer service. I would not hesitate to use them again.
  20. Same with Lori's orderstatus email. Invalid email address error.
  21. I believe Dillon makes a dust cover that locks. You can kill two birds with one stone. Keep dust off the press and the kids from playing with it.
  22. Mine shows wear with the BT DOH as well. I don't mind it. Like others have said, it is a heavy use gun. It is going to show use.
  23. Henning has a good post in his vendor area about Tanfoglio platform vs 2011 platform. Since CZ and Tanfoglio are very similar, you may be able to glean some insight. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45358 I shoot an SP01 in Production and recently picked up a EAA/Tanfo Limited. A lot of my decision was liking my SP01 and reading his take on the platform versus 2011s.
