2015 X-Treme Bullets Texas 3 Gun Championship at Copperhead Creek

April 24-26, 2015

Home to the 2014 3 Gun Nation Southwest Regional, Copperhead Creek Shooting Club, a premier facility in Marble Falls, the heart of Texas, is proud to announce the 2015 Texas 3 Gun Championship on April 24th, 25th, and 26th of 2015. With its extravagant clubhouse, spacious bays, and beautiful natural terrain stages in the Texas Hill Country, expect to be welcomed to a world class match that will challenge the most skilled of competitors. This will be a trophy match to decide the best in Texas even if you’re from North Carolina! Sponsorships are being accepted for this match, a competitor’s match, requested by competitors, and ran by competitors. Contact Kurt Gruber (kurt@3gunchampionship.com) with inquiries about sponsorship.

We would like to announce X-Treme Bullets as the title sponsor of the match. X-Treme Bullets and Freedom Munitions are huge supporters of the shooting sports and we look forward to working with Jansen, Rudy, and the crew as we get closer to match time.

  • Capped at 250 competitors
  • 10 expansive stages with high round counts
  • Prize Table by order of finish

Copperhead Creek Shooting Club will be introducing Craig Sewell as the Match Director of an event where all may leave with a smile due to the experience of a fun match where competitors nurture competitors. After the dust of the day’s competition has settled, you may fellowship in and around the clubhouse with your favorite beverage (byob) while enjoying expansive views of our country side. For up to date conversations concerning the match, come see us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/texas3gunchampionship?ref_type=bookmark. Direct contact may be made by calling or emailing Craig (830-265-4950 / craig@copperheadclub.com).

Registration forms can be postmarked no earlier than November 1st, 2014. The registration form will be available on the match website a couple weeks before registration opens. http://www.3gunchampionship.com/

Hey Kurt, just an FYI: I know the dates are Apr 24-26, 2015. But the website still states Apr 23-25...and first paragraph of forum announcement (above) still states Apr 10-12. I look forward to the match...the Epic match out there earlier this year was awesome!

Thanks for chasing sponsors for this new match.

It is not to early to start looking at housing. The Central Texas Hill Country provides for some great options if you want to turn your match trip into a bit of a vacation.

About 30 minutes from the range: http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/texas/hill-country/lake-lbj/kingsland?from-date=2015-04-22&to-date=2015-04-26

About 25 minutes from the range: http://www.homeaway.com/search/texas/granite-shoals/region:22746/arrival:2015-04-22/departure:2015-04-26

About 15 minutes from the range: http://www.homeaway.com/search/texas/marble-falls/region:7708/arrival:2015-04-22/departure:2015-04-26

There are also plenty of hotel options in the Marble Falls area that are approximately 15 minutes from the range. Listed in order of their reviews:

La Quinta Inn & Suites (830) 798-2020‎

Holiday Inn Express Hotel (800) 315-2621

Hampton Inn (830) 798-1895

Best Western (830) 693-5122

Quality Inn (830) 693-7531

Motel 6 (830) 265-6565‎

Hill Country Motel (830) 693-3637

30 minutes away from the range

Horseshoe Bay Resort (877) 624-6034 Horseshoe Bay, Texas

Comfort Inn & Suites (512) 756-1789 Burnet, Texas

If 45 minutes away is acceptable, Cedar Park, Texas has a multitude of hotels because it's on the north side of Austin which is an hour away. Plus we have several Bed & Breakfasts within 20 minutes of the range.

Thanks to everyone who came out ot the 3-Gun Nation Southwest Regional this past weekend. I hope you enjoyed the facility and what we have to offer. We will have another whole separate area that we will be using for the first time at the X-Treme Bullets Texas 3 Gun Championship match in April.

The entry form will be available on the web site (www.3gunchampionship.com) in a week or so. Entry forms cannot be post marked before the 1st of November. We look forward to getting registration rolling.

See you on the Range,

Kurt

are there any camping hook ups on the range?

Yes the range is in the middle of a very large adventure park that has full service RV spots.

A lot of people bring their RV's with their quads/dirt bikes up for long weekends or even a week just to ride in the park.

Besides the RV hook ups, the park also has a couple of bunkhouse that sleep 8. Nothing fancy, in fact bring your own air mattress since the bunks are just flat wood. But the bunkhouse is very reasonable.

The bunkhouse availability will be dependant on how many staff (who will be there for 5 days to put on this event for everyone) decide they want to stay on-site. I personally plan to park an RV there.

The adventure park has 300+ miles of off-roading trails. With our half day format there will be lots of time if you drag a UTV, dirt bike, or Jeep along with you to have a ton of fun. There are also some great lakes to visit and lots else to do in Central Texas. About 1.5 hours from the event is Fredricksburg, TX which has breweries, wineries, lots of cool shopping (for the wife), and an amazing WW2 museum (Fredricksburg is the birthplace and childhood home of Admiral Chester Nimitz).

OK, we are getting to that time. Registration opens on November 1st. No entry form postmarked before the 1st will be accepted. Registration is first come first served based upon postmark. Groups are welcome to put up to 5 registration forms in a single envelope.

The registration form is available for download on the Registration page of the web site. http://www.3gunchampionship.com/

Just a few things. We are doing a half day schedule so make sure you choose your preferred schedule. We will try to honor all squad requests. The stages will be posted a minimum of 3 weeks before the match.

One other thing, we are going to have a ladies division in our match. The Ladies division is Tac Ops only. Ladies are more than welcome to register for any division as well as register for the regular Tac Ops if they want to shoot against the man.

We continue to work very hard to make sure that this match is awesome. Follow us for progress on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/texas3gunchampionship
