  1. I just switched from a Seekins ATC to an Armalite tunable and had experienced the same push with the Seekins. I don't know if you can clock the Seekins but I was able to quickly and easily tune the Armalite by drilling the appropriate size holes on the brake, eliminating any push I was seeing... my rifle shoots so much flatter than before I was kicking myself for not making the switch earlier. I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in but I'm extremely happy with the Armalite and highly recommend.
  2. Right, I'm really only speaking about those people who are officially sponsored by a company. Officially sponsored meaning the company and shooters announce/acknowledge it. I understand it isn't always black or white, there are some gray areas of course. And it is certainly hard enough as it is to know who is really being sponsored when everyone on the range is wearing shirts with logos on them these days. But my point is, when those who are officially being sponsored are online and providing recommendations for said products, they should at least acknowledge as much when making recommendations to others. It would be nice to see that happen more often.
  3. I think what is sometimes confusing is that some folks who are sponsored shooters, don't always state they are being sponsored by the products they are endorsing. If you are a sponsored shooter, you need to disclose your relationship with the product manufacturer when making comments about said product online or in social media. At least that is my understanding of FTC guidelines on the subject. And this isn't directed at Jesse, he is quite vocal about who his sponsors.. this is more directed at the ton of sponsored shooters who don't disclose. It would be helpful to see that information.. sponsored by xyz.. in the footer of a post when you are pushing product on this message board. As a consumer one would then be aware that the recommendation being provided is coming from someone who is being paid to promote the product as opposed to another consumer just giving his opinion.
  4. This is the information I would like to know.. I had heard rumors that the refresh on the AR-1X with new reticle would be shipping in February, but nothing confirmed.
  5. Try a different brand of shells and see if the problem persists. When I had my JM Pro, it loved to shoot the Fiocchi low recoil 1oz 1150fps shells, was all I ever used.. very soft.
  6. Like the title says.. anyone have the approximate weight of a stripped Benelli M2 Bolt that has the staked link? Thanks!
  7. If you like a wider paddle, you might look at the 3Gun Stuff Cat Tail: http://www.3gunstuff.com/?page_id=231
  8. If you are interested in one, I have a new one w/Limbsaver that I'm selling. The base pad needs to be sanded down to match the Limbsaver, I have yet to do that. IM if interested, I'll sell at a good price. Chris
  9. I use this AR Gas Vent on my suppressed 300 BLK SBR: http://www.rainierarms.com/ar-gas-vent Works really well for me, no gas to the face at all.
  10. I guess you really do just need to shoot the gun and get a feel for what works better. My setup. Nordic 18", SLR Sentry 7 Adjustable Gas, JP LMOS, Taccom Carbine Recoil system. Both the TTI and the JP Buffer springs locked the bolt back (consistently) at 8 turns from close on the gas block, shooting American Eagle 55gr .223. Previously I was running the block all the way open 15 turns with a stock carbine spring and neither the JP or TTI would run. Today after shooting the JP Buffer, the TTI did feel slightly softer, however I have an Armalite Tunable brake on the rifle that was tuned before I fixed the leak with the gas block and when I was using the stock spring. So I'll need to re-tune the brake this weekend with the TTI spring installed to see how much more I can settle the sights. I can already see a huge improvement in how the rifle shoots/feels, it shoots much flatter. And I'm kicking myself for having not double checked the gas block sooner, I could have sworn it was aligned properly. So I've been shooting it out of whack for over a year like an idiot, under the impression that was the best performance I could get from the setup. Lesson learned. Thanks everyone so much for the feedback and patience with my questions. I'll report back after the brake is tuned.
  11. Yeah, I think I found your thread.. or we were actually in the same thread awhile ago.. Taccom low recoil? I've recently found out I had a gas leak on my adjustable gas block, I've fixed and now can run the JP buffer spring when in the past I couldn't. So I've actually got one of the TTI springs and the JP. So I can certainly test them both, but I'm trying to grasp how the different strength of the springs impacts the movements of the bolt and what not. Been a long day, maybe I'm making this more confusing than need be.
  12. One is reduced power and one is extra power, however both claim to assist with soft shooting, quick follow up shots.... especially when paired with a JP LMOS. Can someone help me better understand the difference between the two and how one would determine which would be best to use in their rifle. Other than trial and error? If that makes sense. Or point me to a resource that better explains how they affect a rifles performance. Thanks!
  13. I've switched to the new "Heavy" Jager Gen 4 steel guide rod with Wolff 12# springs and have really liked the feel on my G34 Gen4.
  14. HeyChris

    New to uspsa

I shoot 3-Gun and USPSA Production with my Glock 34. I prefer adjustable rear so I have a Dawson Precision rear adjustable .125N with fiber optic front sight .300 tall .100 wide. I picked up a DK Custom adjustable trigger bar last month and have been extrememly happy with the short, crisp break. Zev 4 connector and .25 trigger job. i've always read the gain from an aftermarket Glock barrel isn't that much over a stock glock so I haven't felt the need to upgrade.
  15. Is it possible to hide threads from your view if you don't want to see them?
  16. I have one on my rear, however I like the .125 notch and paired it with a fiber optic front sight .300 tall .100 wide. Rugged... I use this pistol for 3-Gun as well as USPSA and Steel Challenge.
  17. Brian Wikel sells dummy shells for practice. $8 a dozen FTF or ship on your dime. I picked up a couple dozen of these, same weight with shell shot as real shells.. don't go boom. Good product, quick service.. ping him at brian (at) wikel (dot) net
  18. Smaller. Yeah, smaller. I had thought about getting that Ghost Edge connector, however once I did the .25 trigger job and polished everything up, the trigger was perfect. Huge difference from out of the box, I think I will leave it as is.
  19. Taran Tactical pads look great and they have top notch customer service! Just installed the Tractiongrips.. now I just need some night sights and the wife needs to figure out what holster to get. The more I shoot this though, the more I like it.. may just have to fight her over it.. or pick up another one.
  20. TTI.. received my package, have an issue. Sending you a private message. Thanks!
  21. TTI, can you check my order as well. Order 9405. I checked the site this afternoon and it said pads were available. I ordered two, received confirmation and my credit card was charged. I then got an email saying the new status of my order is "backorder".
  22. Glad to hear this info and thanks, as I've been thinking of playing in Limited/Factory in the future. I just picked up an AR1X for my SBR build, but also thought of throwing it on my competition rifle to try Limited. I haven't shot it yet, but I think it looks good.. I'm wondering when the new reticle is available, I should be able to send back to Burris to replace no? Edit: Added picture.
  23. NOOOOOOO.........don't do that. I'll get my son to update the website today!! We have the non-rail versions ready to go. If you cut the rail off, it will not look good at all Tim Tim, send you a Private Message. Thanks!
  24. I took a few pictures of it on my JM Pro. https://imgur.com/a/9zD0C
  25. Recobs has 4# N320 as of this post: http://www.recobstargetshop.com/browse.cfm/4,1104.html
