kgunz11
I starting thinking my Edge might need to go on a little diet. I liked the way my Eagle transitioned, but wanted to retain a little weight to help tame the recoil. So I contacted Matt Cheely and told him to do whatever he wanted, make her bangin, and he did just that. Then I sent the gun to Accurate Plating and Weaponry after speaking to Bob Cogan on the phone. We clicked right off the bat and he reapplied the hard chrome. I also told him to do as he wanted with her. He left some spots satin and some polished. I think she\'s a beauty now! Need to get out and shoot her and see how she feels. So here are a few pics (I\'m no photographer and do her little justice, just a cheap little cyber shot digital camera, but you get the jest. This is my version of amateur porn!). Whatta ya think? Edited December 22, 2008 by kgunz11
Rocket35
Nice upgrade Bobby- hopefully it will shoot as good as it looks and you get the "feel" you were looking for.

kgunz11
The chrome looks good! Yeah he did a really nice job on it. Price was good too. He had many compliments for you, after calling you a cheap ba$tar* for doing it so inexpensively. He said everything was relieved really well so after chroming he didn't have to do anything much at all to it. Now I just have to shoot it and get it broken in all over again. Any recommendations on a recoil spring Matt? I think I have a 12# or 12.5# in there now. Is that something I will need to change or should I let the sights tell me? Chris Keen
I like what he did with the serrations. Takes the "factory look" away and gives it a unique-ness all of its own. Very nice.

mike cyrwus
looks really great; how much of it wound up on the floor? (in oz.)
kgunz11
looks really great; how much of it wound up on the floor? (in oz.) I didn't weigh it before sending it to Matt but I can weigh it now and we can subtract that from what a standard Edge top end weighs.

And does anybody have a "factory weight" for a stock Edge slide ?
kgunz11
I compared it to my Eagle. The Eagle does have an STI magwell on it but the difference was the Edge is 1.25 oz heavier.
