  1. Right handed. I don't know how you lefty's do it. Revolvers are basically designed for the "wrong" handers.
  2. Thanks for all the tips everybody!! I was able to read most of them before I went to the range this afternoon. But first to answer some of your questions: AzShooter, Try using the tip of your finger on the trigger also and make sure your are bringing the trigger straight back and not pulling the sight to the right. I think your on to something here, tried using the tip of my finger now I still shoot right but not half as bad! Underlug, Do you shoot farther right as you go through a longer course? No Do you move right as you try to pull the trigger faster? Yes From Oklahoma? Would that get me a 4th excuse? Bubber, (I had to answer this one) What do you see when the shot breaks? A BIG FLASH Actually my sights on target where the shot should have been. I did learn a few things. I changed to a couple other grips, none seemed to help the problem much. If I just used the tip of my trigger finger the pull to the right wasn't as bad. I think that AzShooter may have hit the nail on the head. The strength in my hand/finger is not there yet. Guess I have some long nights at the range a head of me. Anything I can do besides dry fire to increase the strength in my trigger finger??
  3. OK, here's the situation, I'm having trouble shooting to the right and I don't know why. I can usually solve problems with the gun myself but when it comes to identifying whats wrong with me, I need professional help. I have a Smith and Wesson 610-3 with a set of Houge finger groove grips. Thought it was the gun at first but I had a friend shoot it. He had no problem taking out the center of the target. That leads me to think that it's all me. If I take my time it shoots dead on, I can take out a paster 9 times out of 10, but the moment I turn a little speed all the shots are about 4-5 inches to the right. If nothing else I'm consistent. I've tried a few things, like changing the grips, to no avail. Anybody know what causes this and how to correct it??
  4. Nice Job. Now I have to build one. Wonder if the wife will let me buy it when I'm done.
  5. I did not know that. An area I can improve on too!
  6. Same here. I was experimenting going to a Glock. Tried out a G35 and shot mostly head shots. it's just like going back and forth between IDPA and IPSC. I find myself using cover in IPSC. Gives a good laugh to the guys trying to figure out what I'm doing.
  7. The longest I could get in my mag is 1.145 using 180 gr x-tremes, but I could get a round loaded at 1.19 to chamber and shoot really well. Drawback is you have to load them 1 at a time.
  8. No penalty as long as the shooter attempted to shoot both PP's. It's no different shooting steel or paper. Now if he skipped the steel and shot out of order that's another story.
  9. You da man Brian!! All of my PM's, old and new are there. I'm back to abnormal
  10. I like it so far. It is kind of bright, takes a little getting used to. Lost a lot of my messages......hope they are out there somewhere!!
  11. I think I'd go with the tie dye before I did that
  12. I think that's why I cant come up with anything good. I'm not that creative. If I have a design I like i can make it, but to come up with a design......nothing. Tie dye and polka dots Maybe on the wife's gun
  13. This isn't very technical but wasn't sure where else to put it. Anyway, I'm going to be painting my Remington 100. All black just isn't doing it for me anymore. I'm looking for some ideas. The common spatter paint, though cool, IMO has been over done. Camo patterns look out of place on the range. I'd like to do something different. Any suggestions??
  14. I like the SVI factory followers personally. A lot easier to load and more reliable. (in my gun anyway) 140mm springs work great since they aren't loaded to capacity in IDPA.
  15. I had the exact same problem, chased it for what felt like forever. Forgot who suggested it, but they told me to remove my shock buff. Not a problem since. If you have a shock buff, take it out and see if that takes care of it.
  16. I'd love to see them. I was thinking of lightening up my slide
  17. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY! Have fun and be safe.
  18. I used to wash mine out every once in a while. Left a little coffee in the bottom once. Came in on Monday morning to a middle school science experiment. Now I wash it every time I'm done. I can actually taste the coffee. Don't drink as much anymore.
  19. This has been kind of hard to explain, but maybe a few pictures just might make it a little more understandable. Here is the frame with one of my 126mm magazines in it. As shown the base pad is flush with the bottom of the grip and the nose of the mag is just about contacting the extractor. Here is the 124mm, base pad is flush with the bottom of the grip and the nose of the mag is almost a 1/4" below the extractor. Took off the base pad. Still way short, not even high enough to strip a round out of the mag.
  20. Thats what I thought. Nope, no magwell on the gun. My 126mm doesnt fit the gun with the magwell on. A 124mm wouldn't even come close.
  21. I have an older SVI Infinity with a problem........I think. Recently bought what I thought was a 126mm magazine for use in IDPA, but it's actually a 124mm. I've never had a problem with any of my other magazines, mostly 140mm and 126mm. Anyway, when I tried the mag in the gun it doesn't fit, way too short, doesn't grab the mag catch. Took the base pad and guts out of it and still a no-go. I can't see anyway that a 124mm mag would ever work in this. To make a long story even longer, I have a couple of 131mm collecting dust on the shelf, thought I'd try those. Guess what With a factory or dawson base pad on, it won't seat. I had to cut the factory base pad down a little to make it work. My question is...... Are SVI and STI grips different?? The guy I got it off of says it fit and worked in his Edge. Something just isn't right here. Am I missing something??
