Did I do my math right and is Graufel beating Chris and Max by nearly 10 points a stage??? :surprise:

Eric, like usual, has been practicing.....He is The Man in Open - might even be able to win again.

Keep an eye on Jethro, he is within striking distance.

I love that scoring detail.

In Open, for instance...

EG: Total: 78 12 1 0 0 0 440 56.77 433.9506

KC: Total: 62 24 5 0 0 0 416 56.95 405.2226

CT: Total: 70 18 2 1 0 0 416 60.57 386.1024

MM: Total: 72 16 3 0 0 0 430 62.99 384.1606

That is only 6 stages, 30 more to go.

At this point, there's only one day's worth of scores up. So... a lot of match to go, either way. Eric is off to a good start. Max battles back well from behind... Chris has won a stage, but had a penalty on another, so lost some ground back. Typical stuff. KC is actually up in the hunt right now, too...

Internet in the hotels is slow, not free and not very reliable, but I'll try and get some things up.

The match is a good straight-up shooting match without a lot of trickery. I think we shot 3 targets at less than 7 yards yesterday, and a bunch of tiny plates and partials at 15+, but I think the longest shot in the match is ~25 yards. Dumped rain on us early in the AM, but got nice and hot for the PM squads. It was well past dark when the buses started rolling in from the PM squads, and I heard they didn't all finish, so we'll see how it is today.

If USSA wants to resurface their berms, I suggest a mixture of crushed coral and sand.. it rained like somebody was pouring water from a bucket, but the ground never had any standing water or mud.

As usual, the whole scene rocks.

Go Glen and Ray!!! Both of th guys that I know are holding their own. Of course you can't look apples to apples since not everyone shot the same stages. Heck, both of them are leading Grauffel- although his stages had less points, so...

Looks like Adam Tyc is running away with the match after 2 days. This is a huge gap to overcome for USA.

Might be a huge gap for the individual USA shooters to over come but it looks like Teamwise they are definitely still in the hunt. CZE's third shooter is a ways down the list. Adam looks like he had an awesome day yesterday. He looked to have had a rather unimpressive day on Day 1. Looking at the individual stage scores for all of them shows an awful lot of misses and even some procedurals. After shooting with the guys from the US contingent at least, they've shot more misses in 12 stages of this match than I've seen them shoot in all the matches I've shot with them combined. The stage percentages are kind of wild as well. Some are really high and some are really low. Not sure what's going on over there.

Has anyone heard how the match ammo is working out? I got an email from a shooter today saying that the stuff is just horrible. He said it normally shoots 12-14 inches low, except when it shoots in the middle or high, (rarely but every handful of shots, one goes goofy). He said the ammo doesn't feel the same either, some hot, some soft, no way to tell. Anyone else having the same results?

Unless interim results are of shooters shooting the same stages can such statistics have any validity? With the mix of short, medium and long courses and their varying points I would think not.

I agree. Looking at the interim results doesn't tell the correct story, at all. You have to drill into the individual, and see which stage results have been posted. You'll only be able to compare stage-for-stage, within a division. Good luck with that, since the site doesn't provide an easy way to compare results (until they're final).

The shooters have not shot the same stages, and not all stages in all divisions are final. About the only overall scores you can count on for accuracy are the DQ's.

Tyc and USA team have all shot the same stages

Ya... Adam is kicking some ass. Wonder if he had his own ammo and others had match ammo or what? Not making excuses, just wondering... that seems like a huge lead at this point.

eric is shooting sick-i see one D after 12 stages...

Yep, that's why he wins. Compare his dropped points with the others, some have dropped 20 or more points than he has. At that level is hard to make up that kind of ground. Eric's dropped about 24 points after 12 stages and Max has dropped 53.

Brad is doing great !!!
