Chris Jordan
Open shooters, Here is the deal. I have been offered a second top end for my SVI in 9x23. My question is this... If I buy this set-up( top end, 2 mags, and some brass for 500.00) and add a docter sight and a Schuemann Hybrid barrel would I have a halfway decent Open gun for $1200 to $1500? Or do I pass and take the money plus $1000 to $1500 more and buy a dedicated Open gun? Just thinking. Thanks guys. Cheers, Chris Thanks
eerw
A good open gun can be built for 2K...If you are going to spend the time in Open, build the gun that will work for you..not a compromise
Shooter Grrl
There's a 38 super used in the classifieds for $1500 - I'd go with a dedicated Open gun for the same money! And I'd get a c-more not a docter.
ErikW
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you'll need to have your slide milled out for a hybrid barrel.
Chris Jordan
Erik, Yes, I would have to have the slide milled out. Thought that with the IMM getting some press I might could duplicate it for cheap. Still thinking. Thanks for the input. Chris
eerw
Had buddy shoot a tribrid, and he seemed to like it and shoot it well..so I guess that is useable..I would go with the c-more as suggested..
Carlos
I think the ejector has to be replaced as well - no big deal, but you could not switch back and forth with the limited cal upper (.40??).
