That does not look like a fire ball or muzzle flash more like sparks i would check comp allignment and or gapping. Had simmular problem resolved by reeming comp.

not sure i tried but i dont think it would be a problem as long as you pulled the shellplate out the left side and was carefull putting inthe new one.

Yep stiff clear packaging plastic prebent and superglued with case in slot. has now been on for about six months.

just an update.....glueing a piece of plastic just in front of station has worked 100% of the time since then. thanks for replies.

For me it was 2 times using range brass reloads stock barrel and case gauged rounds. Total rounds fired 5000 ?

just found this post after suggesting it in another post and have used them and i beleave my cost for shipping was $25 dealer to dealer.

i have used SMG ship my guns and was very happy with this company that is what they do and it was like half the cost of fed ex dealer to dealer. Not sure why i dont hear people suggest using this service more on this forum check them out.

starting the cases in the first station is the problem case does not index very well backes out if not gently and carefully inserted in shell holder thats why the wire retainer i glued on worked it stops it from backing out

Had to switch dies, i am down to my armscor 9mm 124 gr that measure .353 Ordered Delta Presision today. Always forget to ask dillion when getting parts because i had the wire on. already going slow, best method is setting case in and coming straight up.

Update i installed a undersized lee 9mm die i made to fit the SD so now its really finicky. tried various finger swipes up down left right top of case bottom of case ect. nothing close to 100 %. going back to guide wire.

The best i have done is to jb weld a guide wire on This works really well till you have to remove the shell plate.

no adjustments on SD dies are unique to SD The sizing die is like a bolt screwed all the way in.

I have been reloading on this press for 2 years and still have trouble getting that first piece of brass started consistantly . If i do not put that brass in the shell plate perfectly it will be off center and hit the die and not go in. I just cant run this press smooth and consistanly. Help?

thanks thanks for the info, you are right threads are loose and i have been using epoxy on them and red loctite on the 2 set screws' I will admit i do not clean the threads as good as i should. titanium comp steel barrel i think i want it pinned or welded? but maybe i will try your way first.

the first thing i would do is check my mags are they within spec?

i am with seattledude after more than 2 years of trying and making gas pedals because every one says you need one i took mine off and every thing i thought i was fixing by using one is better without one.
