ShootingPilot
I'm looking for a good shot timer that will also work with dry fire. Any suggestions?
CClassForLife
AMG Lab Commander is the gold standard. https://www.brasspickers.com/range-supplies/p/amg-lab-commander It requires a platform that has a loud enough hammer/striker fall. For example, my Sig P320 is too quiet to register, but anything with a sound signature as loud or louder than a Glock striker should work. Note that it's basically a dude making them in his basement, so it's usually out of stock.

FuddLevel9000
AMG commander takes a little bit of setup for dry fire in my opinion, for finding the right sensitivity. I’ve been between 7/10-8/10, but sometimes I think my holster makes too much noise and it picks that up too.
SV650Squid
I just replaced my CED blue box with another one but with bluetooth. Makes it real handy to make fake matches in practiscore to run drills on and use it as a diary.

They often come up on brass pickers. Jump on it when they do. The Bluetooth interface is a fantastic training tool. I bring it to matches and use it to speak to the tablets, which reduces human error and speeds up the process.
mule169
AMG was everyone says, the IPSC store has them in stock instantly more than anyone. But they do cost an extra $100 more for the “NOW” factor. Maybe place an order on AMG’s website in the meantime and purchase a pact timer off Amazon and when the time comes you can resale your pact timer or keep it. But having a timer is crucial to your training regime.

When you get tired creating fake matches, stages and shooters in the PractiScore app, take a look at the PractiScore Log app which is specifically created to run drills https://community.practiscore.com/t/practiscore-log-app-info/215 and then more - https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/298342-best-android-tablet-for-practiscore-log/?do=findComment&comment=3299026

eboos
Using my 25+ year old Pact Mk IV. My dry fire practice is pretty basic and I am just using the par time function. It isn't registering the click (or maybe it is; doubt it, but I never checked), but since I am only getting one trigger pull per draw registering dryfire clicks didn't seem very useful. To be fair, it DOES pick up the hammer/striker drop BUT it will also pick up the sound from drawing. I find it more valuable to run repetitive drills without having to hit a button. For example (25) .8 second draw drills with a 5 second delay between drills

frankr2
I have had success with the shot timer on my Mantis X as well as my ShotMaxx wrist watch timer. As I have been getting better I am using the dedicated timer more to avoid some of the distraction or working a phone app to control things. Npoulson
I cant for the life of me remember the name of it but if you scroll through jj racazas facebook he had a super awesome one for just this other than that i use dry practice drill app u can set loads of your own drills and par times. its a lot quieter if you want for indoors. My favorite part is you can set how many reps you want. so i go in label all the par times and make them so i can just jump through all my training drills quickly with the amount of reps i want
ReconNav
For dry fire, I'm a fan of the Dry Practice Drill app. It makes dry fire way less tedious, as you can set it up to do multiple reps, and even multiple strings with descending par times, so you start your drill, and don't have to constantly reset a timer for each rep. For good phones: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details/Dry_Practice_Drill?id=com.sartuga.android.drypractice&hl=en_US For overpriced crappy phones: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dry-practice-drill/id828121161 Edited November 13 by ReconNav
