  1. Is this legal for USPSA Production? Strike One is on the list but not the additional models. Could you email Troy for clarification? interested in range results, the one video on YouTube shows it’s extremely unreliable.
  2. The holster is pretty badass, the hanger sucks. You need to get one made by RPG2 from shooters connection. Henning also makes a connector for it, but you will need to modify it.
  3. I mean its the cream of the crop in every aspect. Its basically perfect in every of aspect. Like if you were to write down a wish list on a piece of paper it checks every box except for price. You can't really compare it to a direct blowback Ar9.
  4. I have the same problem when drawing from appendix doing reload drills with 2 or 3 rounds in each mag. (Assuming you're right handed) More than likely it's your dominant hand thumb on/over the slide release, not allowing it to be pushed into place by the magazine follower. Normal shooting its not a problem for me but when I'm doing quick drills, drawing from appendix, my thumb usually ends up right on top of the slide release. When you're gripping the gun, try moving your dominant thumb over onto your support hand more and not as tight against the gun. Also, as others have said, the extended slide release is a great work around for this. I actually have one on the way for my carry gun.
  5. Would like to see what you guys have done to really get that support up to speed with gripping the gun at an acceptable firm hold. I always find my support hand is not always squeezing and when it is, it’s not enough. are there workouts to increase strength in your support hand or is it something overtime I should be doing in dry fire to constantly grip harder and harder with my support.
  6. Suggest you use the free version of Malwarebytes; https://www.malwarebytes.com/
  7. Is there an additional time frame on these tungsten grips?
  8. well the issue is too that in schools I’m sure they think it’s easier to pass around a tablet than purchase a crap load of books. No need for a library, just go to the tech lounge and grab a tablet and have access to 100,000+ titles
  9. Definitley the no expectations mindset, but also because you're relaxed and you're using your core fundamentals and not thinking too much. I use to not drink before match days but my friends encouraged me to do so since it relaxes you and you stop thinking so much about what you're doing and should just do.
  10. The best thing you can do for yourself is just jumping right into it, its nice to have a friend to introduce you but make sure you're open to meeting everyone else as they are open to welcoming newcomers. I love the community aspect of networking with different competitors, its one of the few sports where everyone with different backgrounds come in. Some you may even call your new best friends! Best of luck with your first match.
  11. Your hands will definitley tear up if you're not use to it. I use KT tape for the spots that have tears and neosporin them before bed. If you have a local target around you try this taping this over the spots on your hands that get torn, use it for dry fire purposes then utilize then for matches or not, I personalyl don't but you can, they're great. https://www.kttape.com/products/kt-tape-original-cotton-grip-tape
  12. Regardless Julian at Limcat is very accomodating, I just had a Wildcat built for IDPA and it was too heavy since we had a steel frame and he took it back and swapped it out for an alumnium frame at no extra cost, so I trust them regardless.
  13. The only ones that offer fastest turn around time is Atlas by adding one of their guns in the wishlist and getting an email notification, they ship it out a week after you hop on a phone with them. Infinity is 8-10 months from order, Limcat is 6-8 months, Phoenix Honcho - pushing a year now and hearing bs from them, EMG - 2 years, that is what I am on order for. But Atlas has been my best but, unless you want to overpay for a used one.
  14. The real question should be who is a good open builder that doesn’t have a long lead time!!!
  15. Glad I’m not alone with most of the folks here, yes I get timid and yes I try to match their energy. I don’t like shooting with good shooters which is weird but that is maybe something I need to work on to squad with them and continue to shoot at the best of my ability and not worrying about them.
  16. I shoot better with randoms but I have more fun shooting with friends. I do have fun both times, it depends on my objective at the time if I am in training mode for any majors coming up or just there to have a good time, but I always have a good time when my finger is in the trigger guard!
  17. Eventually you seeing people with reading a physical book will be rare too when you can listen to audios and read on your iPad/tablet.
  18. I hope this resonates with you as it did with me. “ambush the target at the change of direction” instead of trying to track or trap it, well you kinda are trapping it by staying in a specific spot but once you think about the change of direction other than seeing it, take the shot.
  19. These are great tips to find where to find the point of aim on these partials. What I’ve always found helpful was setting a level of priority from slowest to fastest, meaning I will take my time until there are targets I can speed up. no shoots, partials, and open targets. i will spend a little extra time on No shoots to guaranteed my two hits at .4 splits but also disregard the no shoot, I will be a bit faster and spend time on the partials because I don’t want a 3rd split to cost my time when I can get 2 alphas at .3, and open targets I will rip and grip it at .2-.25 splits.
  20. AMG was everyone says, the IPSC store has them in stock instantly more than anyone. But they do cost an extra $100 more for the “NOW” factor. Maybe place an order on AMG’s website in the meantime and purchase a pact timer off Amazon and when the time comes you can resale your pact timer or keep it. But having a timer is crucial to your training regime.
  21. I’m 28 and started at 27 and I have 70-80 year olds in my local matches that move faster and shoot more accurate than me. They smoke me all the time, I’d say you have a good 30-40 years of great foundational shooting to keep up. Keep at it!
  22. It’s a constant battle to shift your schedule but if you really care that much then you will have to set multiple alarms to wake up at the time that you want. The first step is continuously waking up at the hour you want, now you will be groggy and still tired at first but you’re setting your body and mind to wake up at a certain time. When you wake up I suggest you begin an activity or drink coffee or whatever it is to keep you awake. The really good days to continually to build is when you can stay awake the whole day from the time you want to wake up because then you will get tired earlier and when you sleep early when you usually do then your new habit is building properly.
  23. I am sorry for your lost friend, remembering is the best way to honor our lost ones. Hold on tight to those memories, we are lucky to have shared that time and meeting those special people, the most honorable act moving forward is remembering those who we lost and continue sharing those memories.
  24. Man they sold out quick! I would check back and back again, they’re the only store that I see continuously in stock for anyone that wants it “NOW”.
