Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thank you. Looking forward to picking one of these up.
  2. Excellent. I believe this is the timer that MDT picked up to manufacture/distribute, so hopefully will be readily available soon. Does it actually work with dryfire?
  3. IMO the MIL-XT reticle is more useful than the MIL-C for long range. Everyone’s eyes respond differently, but I find that even fine reticles can be usable at 8-10x for me. I had a 6-24 viper pst and remember that the reticle sucked. Open center with no dot.
  4. Has anyone used the SG Smart Shot Timer (https://timer.shooters.global/#overview)?
  5. Origin is mechanical ejector. You need to run it harder if you want the brass to fly. Zermatt customer service is excellent, but you need to call them during business hours.
  6. I clamp the rifle into a sturdy tripod, get it level using a bubble level on the scope base, then mount the scope level with the rifle. I then align the reticle with a plumb line or the horizon and mount/adjust the anti-cant device. I use stabila and starrett pocket levels (mainly because they are multi-purpose and reliable), but the wheeler levels work fine too. Once the scope is in the mount, I usually leave it in there, even if I move the scope to a different rifle.
  7. Late to the thread, new to this forum. I ran a B-14R until recently. I also had trouble finding OEM mags. If you can't find mags, Vudoo V-22 plastic mags can work. You just need to file a channel for the ejector bar which takes around 5 minutes. There are some tutorials on Snipershide.
  8. Precision rifle enthusiast trying to get better with a pistol. Planning to shoot a few matches in Northern California near Sacramento.
