  3. Not sure if this goes here. Several months ago i woke up and my arm was sore. It came out of nowhere it seems. It has been pretty tolerable for the most part, up until about a week ago. We had our last outdoor match and prior to that i noticed about weds during work and dryfire it was a lot more painful. Fast forward to the match and i could not preform to the level i usually do. I shot about 15% below my current level. Im not sure how to go about fixing it. A lot of other guys said they have dealt with it, most stated it just went away but took a long time. I don’t really want to go into off months and do nothing. At the moment i been doing 3-5 reps and taking long breaks in between. Any suggestions???
  4. Im just an average sized guy and i can do 125lbs per hand
  5. I see a lot of guys do flip and catch i just dump mine on the ground

  7. I just traded for one of these seems great but the tablet shuts itself off sometimes today 2 times. does it need replacing or am i doing something
  8. I use all the guns so that one isnt getting pounded constantly now practice is different story for just regular training i have one gun for it one for matches i suppose it depends on the gun too the 2011 style you can burn up sears dryfiring a lot
  9. Jerry mickulek started at about 30 granted he shot a lot before then but he started his sponsor and becoming known then he was winning well into his 60s josh froelich started late look at him world champ we use to have an 82 year old come shoot i have a buddy who is 70 who shoots every weekend if you do the work and spend the time and money you will be surprised i started at 35 made M in 8 mo i shot pcc 4 times and made M just switched to open made M its doable with work so is gm So what if you dont win a national title but if thats a goal work your tail off and go for it
  10. We have a local guy who has brought his kids of all ages and did great with it. The most special was his 8 year old daughter who shot a 22, which some guys griped about it not being legal, however she was 8 it was her first match and she wasn’t going to win. i was completely fine with it and wish she would have continued. id say if your son is safe go for it. have him at home maybe start with a red dot 9mm with some lighter loads and work it up for him. i have seen some 9 year old boys shoot a 2011 in 40 so it can be done wish you all the best of luck
  11. I cant for the life of me remember the name of it but if you scroll through jj racazas facebook he had a super awesome one for just this other than that i use dry practice drill app u can set loads of your own drills and par times. its a lot quieter if you want for indoors. My favorite part is you can set how many reps you want. so i go in label all the par times and make them so i can just jump through all my training drills quickly with the amount of reps i want
  12. Before i got super into competitive shooting me and a buddy would go out to his club and do this they had a steel at 200 we would see who could hit it in the least amount of shots it is super satisfying to shoot a pistol and a few seconds later hear that ding luckily for us it is dusty so you could call where they went most of the time easier to walk it in. I got pretty good at doing it in a few shots then discovered competition and dont really do it as much. Also some jerks kept stealing the targets on that range they had steel at 100-150-200-300 for everyone to use and now its gone because they got tired of replacing stolen items. This also lead to cameras everywhere.
  13. Well im out its hollow up there
  14. I turn mine on at safe table then off at safe table at the end of the match. I dont know of anyone that leaves theirs on. Most turn them off after every stage
  15. This is controversial but try taping the dot it forces you not to have a hard focus do like this set ur timer up no trigger prep at the beep pull as fast as possible try to have everything done before the end of the beep everyone slaps the trigger i know i hear a ton about prep but ive seen every type of shooter slap the trigger its just a thing the dot drill is very good for trigger control as well puts a ton of pressure on with a dot its 10 yards 6 2” circles five shots in under 5 seconds from draw its a pass or fail touching the line on dots counts very valuable i havent done it for a long time but should when you get to the 5th dot the pressure is crazy i have never personally passed with irons
  16. Totally agree original op asked why they are so much better that is my opinion of why yes you gan get there anyone can but to stay there you either make that your life or dont stay no excuses here i am putting the time in now

  19. Me personally i love a heavy gun. That being said. Ammo you use and or load makes a difference. Experiment with different powders and bullet weights. Try different spring weights recoil and main if applicable. All of these things make a difference. On 2011 style there are a bunch of factors charlie perez has a great video breaking down each component of the platform that effects performance. i mean down to the firing pin stop
  20. I will spend more time trying to do that. you would think with 6 college English classes that would be an easy thing. Not so much Sorry guys. I will do better
