philippshen
Anyone had their CZ hard chromed? I love the chrome finish on Tanfoglio Stock 2, wonder if anyone has done the same to CZs Thanks.
eerw
We hardchromed this SP01 longslide pistol. Looks nice. be aware the frames are cast and once the polycoat comes off you might find a void or bubble.
MrPostman
Well that seems about right, poly coat already covers up the machining marks as well.Gun looks sharp in hard chrome Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

MissionaryMike
Hard chrome is pretty durable. I've had various cleaners on this finish. The holster wear is a bigger concern than any oil, cleaner, etc...
kells81
All of the newer HC weapons I have had have been rock solid on the finish. Some of the older guns would start to chip. That's been mostly in the 1911 world though.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the finish has what's called "brushed flats" and "matte rounds". I'll try to take a pic w/ better lighting to show you what I mean. You can use your google-fu as well. It's a beautiful finish.
MissionaryMike
Oh, and all the prep work on the steel, polishing and brushing and what not, needs to be done prior to the finish being applied. My 97b above was purchased through CGW, and David had the hard chroming done here http://fordsguns.com/home/4837274. I'm very pleased w/ the result. I think it's $240 or so for the slide and frame.
