nomore606
I recently got this gun in a trade and couldn't be happier. I've been on this forum for a while but I am new to Tanfoglios. My question is what are the quirks, what spare parts should I get? I've already ordered a few additional mags and base pads from Henning. arkadi
DPM recoil system, if you like it. Torx grip screws. Snapcaps. Rubber magazine basepads for training on hard floor. Slideglide. 3M grip tape for slippy slope of the grip. 170mm Tanfoglio stick to burn through the ammo I own two, haven't broken anything at about 20k rounds with quite a bit of dry fire. Replaced sear once. Watch for holster / contact points wear and apply some protective film if it is a concern for you. johnbu
Fiber front sight. I like dawson .100 wide and .160 tall. But I put the dot on bullseye. Oh, ammo. They just eat it up!
nomore606
Oh I know all about them being ammo eaters. That's after putting 400 rounds through it yesterday and I shot another 200 today.
goldfish
Rear sight screw and spring. By the way where can i get spares?
nomore606
If the sights are the same as mine they look to be typical bomar cut adjustable sights and you should be able to find parts on brownells
ATLDave
I chipped an extractor one time, so I keep a couple extra of those on hand. And the trigger return spring has a tendency to get bent when you re-install the trigger, so if you plan to tear it down to the stripped frame at any point, may want a couple of those. And Henning's guide rod is a nice upgrade over the stock guide rod. The slide stop would seem to take a pretty good beating, but I've not had one go bad. norbs007
+1 on trigger return spring, extractor spring and a front sight. That Xtreme has all premium parts in it, sear spring might be a good one to keep handy too.
bulm540
The Henning base pads are nice. Got mine over the weekend and my reloads are more consistent

Nealio
I recently got this gun in a trade and couldn't be happier. I've been on this forum for a while but I am new to Tanfoglios. My question is what are the quirks, what spare parts should I get? I've already ordered a few additional mags and base pads from Henning. That rear sight looks REALLY high... You'll probably have issues with the adjustment screw walking out..
nomore606
When I originally opened the box and shot it it was hitting super low so I adjusted and confirmed but I'll monitor the set screw just in case
arkadi
I use Stock III sights to rack the slide for several years. Never needed an adjustment after the first day.
Jetskidawg
Trigger spring and pin, sear spring, and extractor spring and pin. Oh, and any of the other tiny parts you may be concerned about losing, like the hammer pin pin. Had a near miss with that one
