Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Zero Bullets, 230 gr ball or HP. Function perfectly in mine. I occasionally use Berry's, which run well, but have chosen not to use lead or polymer coated projectiles in my H&K's.
  2. I wear a 37 sleeve.....love to have a holster at knee level if it was possible!
  3. I purchased a P30L with the intention of using it in USPSA...great feeling gun but the trigger, oh what a nasty trigger...so I sold it and bought a USP Expert....much much better! I question why H&K can't install this match trigger group into the P30L???...USPSA and IDPA are growing sports and shooters are spending tons of money on their shooting equipment, , but it's rare I see an H&K product at a match!!
  4. Glock 17 RTF2....big tru-glo sights, ghost connector, lots of bullets. Stuff those mags full and enjoy the game shooting limited!! Lot more fun!
  5. Those new Hennng metal grips are top shelf!..
  6. I think that's a very fair deal.

    USP 9mm expert

I picked up an expert in 40 today. Chose the 40 as I enjoy shooting "major" in the local events. Hope it shoots as good as it looks. No range time as of yet but the trigger feels very very nice and it fits my existing USP holsters with just a bit of slide protruding from the muzzle end.
  8. I just swapped out the fancy CZC aluminum grips installed on my new CZC Shadow and replaced them with a set of the $20 factory rubber handles....just seem to fit a bit better for me.
  9. I tried a few of these today with a load of 7.4 gr HS-6, at the 1.130". Interestingly, my new Lyman manual published the charge range from 7.3 to 8.4 gr HS-6...glad I didn't charge any more as this felt very hot. Checked the Hodgdon website tonight and their charge range for the HS-6 was 6.6 to 7.4 with BERB, which I think is the abbreviation for Berry's plated. I think I'll try the 6.6 next time.

    P30L slide lock

All my CZ 75's, and my P30L slam shut on a new mag. My USP's do not.
  11. I sure would love a set of the CZ factory rubber type on this Match. Guess most after market makers don't see Tanfoglio as enough volume to tool up for those.
  12. I chrono'd my 180 loads yesterday, 5.3gr VV N304, Win SPP, various brass, 1.130", thru a CZ SP-01 tactical clocked average 920 fps. Thinking of adding a touch more powder to be sure it clocks major if I'm checked at an area shoot.
  13. I appreciate your time and help. Thank you.
  14. Where could I find non-aluminum replacement grips for my Match 40? I'm interested in something along the line of the VZ G10's. The hogue rep indicated their G10's would work, however I ordered a set of their rubber wrap around grips which were listed for the TZ and they are way smaller than my frame. Any help appreciated. Thanks
  15. This may have been discussed here previously, but need some experienced help with this..I've enjoyed shooting the Bayou 180 TC thru both my CZ & Tanfoglio for some time with no issues using a finished cartridge length of 1.125". I have purchased a new Lyman manual which, according to a picture which resembles this bullet, indicates 1.100" finished. My current powder charge is 5.3 gr of VV N340, which seems to work very well. I have noticed that my current load at 1.125" will not seat fully in my Wilson "go no go", but again I have experienced zero problems. Too long?? and if loaded shorter would there be potential pressure issues? I do have alternate powders on hand, mostly Power Pistol & HS-6 if need be. I'd appreciate hearing from others who may be loading these. Thanks
