Sandbagger123
i reload but have friends that don't. a few recently got sti and they run better with long ammo according to our test. i know Atlanta Arms does, but being on the west coast the shipping is expensive. So what other companies offer long .40 loaded at 1.18 to 1.20 Thanks
Trent1k1
www.twobrothersarmory.com they are in Tampa area and I do local pickups so not sure what shipping would be. Certainly worth checking them out though. They make USPSA loads (not 195 PF, but about 170PF for Major).

lumpygravy
I have inquires with Expansion Industries and Freedom Munitions (forum vendor) about a long load 40. They both have factory length 40 loads and EI has a 180gr offering that runs at ~950 FPS. I ordered a 500rd sample from EI and the promotional shipping was $5. I'll post any information I receive from either manufacturer regarding a 40 long load.
EkuJustice
If they don't reload and have trouble finding ammo I would try running a factory follower or even a Dawson as I have found those tend to work best with factory ammo

kernelofwisdom
Just tried Atlanta Arms on my iMac and it's loading like normal. I've been ordering from them online lately. The ammo ships quick and is certainly high quality (38 super major and minor).

bockerSV
Freedom munitions ammo had never given me an issue. It's not specified that it's loaded long but seems to feed fine in my Edge.
ChuckS
Armscor used to make what they called their "IPSC" load that were about 1.18". There were 2 issues: first of all, it was truly IPSC ammo loaded for Standard Division power factor so it was hotter than necessary. Secondly, you could not use it if you displayed childish behavior . Dunno if it is available anymore. I am pretty sure this stuff was made in the Philippines. KOBGT
Matt Mink at Automatic Accuracy loads all kinds of ammo. I've bought .40 long from them before. If they don't have it listed on their site doesn't mean they don't have it.
Forrest Halley
Precision Delta makes a long .40. I have had great luck dealing with them. Customer service is impeccable. Nothing but great experiences with them.
Iggy42
Universal Ammo makes a .40 Long for STI users in both major and minor. I have been running their standard length in my XDm and I have been very pleased with it.

Gun used for chrono was a STI DVC. 10 shot average FPS: Delta Precision: 996 Atlanta Arms: 955 Automatic Accuracy: 950 Still waiting on UniversalAmmo. They don't have any practice ammo in stock and are waiting for more powder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
