Sarge
I'm trying for the Army colors. What do you all think? Too much yellow?
Nimitz
don't you think it would look better with Air Force blue ...
71Commander
How would it be if it was black from the bottom white stripe down?
Sarge
The only thing that I may consider is just black grip with yellow and white stripes. Heavier on the yellow and lighter on the white. That much yellow gets a little brighter every time I look at it. Lol. Decisions decisions
Sarge
Somebody needs to come up with a way to mock these up. Would be nice to just build one with the click of a mouse!

wgj3
I would agree that it looks pretty sharp as is. If going on a black/blued gun, I think that it will look like much less yellow when mounted.

Aircooled6racer
Hello: It will look fine on a chromed pistol. If the yellow was on top it would not look as good on a chromed pistol. What paint did you use? Thanks, Eric

What paint did you use? Thanks, Eric Airbrush paint and a airbrush. If it remains as is, it will have three coats of clear satin then cured in a heating booth. As an aside, the US Army competition shirt in mostly yellow/gold.

Rob1125
Sarge, throw it on the gun before you make your decision. I think it looks great!
JMike
The other thing is if you went with a black magwell, that would help break up the yellow a bit. But really, I like it just as it is. Nice choice IMHO.
Sarge
I'm glad to be getting some positive opinions because I told the painter earlier to go ahead and finish it up as is.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: One thing you might find with painted grips is that they are slippery. Thanks, Eric Edited January 23, 2015 by Aircooled6racer
Sarge
Hello: One thing you might find with painted grips is that they are slippery if your hands get sweaty. Thanks, Eric Yeah, I have heard that and it makes sense. Chalk or rosin should help.
