JaxGlock55
Let me introduce myself to the forum here. I shot in my first practical shooting competition yesterday and I had a blast. I think I might be hooked much to the dismay of my girlfriend. In competition I used my Bianchi holster which is really made to be more of a concealed OWB holster. I was hoping that someone here could help me with not only manufacturers but a style of holster that is geared toward this sport. I shot a Glock 17 regular not a long and would like to keep it under 50$ if possible. Thanks for the help and I can't wait for my next meet. Davidp1911
For Open and/or Limited, nothing faster than a Limcat holster! I've tried all the others but none will match the quickness of the Limcat because there are less contact points from your gun to the holster. All other similar versions were highly influenced by Johnny's design. I've been using one for almost 13 years.

Irish10
Here are some links to a few friends of mine that make gunleather I guarantee will knock your socks off!! Mark Garrity of Garritys Gunleather is a full time LEO in the Phoenix metro area and makes some of the finest rigs I have seen. His work with exotic leathers is just unbelieveable. Next up is John Ralston of 5SHot Gunleather in Vancouver Wa. John was a full time engineer before taking the plunge into making holsters full time. He's also a protege of Lou Alessi and that says a lot. Finally, theres Alex Nossar, Alex is from Peru and makes some of the most stunning holsters, belts, mag pouches, etc I have ever laid my eyes on. His rigs are extremely thin and comfortable but will last a lifetime and his work with exotic leathers is just unreal. If your in the market for a new rig, you owe it to yourslef to check these guys out. The wait may be long but when the package arrives you'll feel like a kid on Christmas morning!! Running Dog
Hi, I'm not sure how to add to "villihun" 's reply, but I also recommend Rob Leahy's holsters (simplyrugged.com) ; I'm not sure about race holsters, but I have one he built for a .454 Ruger Alaskan I use for hiking in bear country ,it's taken some serious abuse and will surely outlast me! sfort
I have a holster a friend gave me for a Beretta 92FS that I love, but it has no identifying marks on the back. The only stamp says "made in South Africa". It is a black belt slide and is made of thick, tough leather. Any help identifying it would be most appreciated. I will post pics in the coming days.
