Back in November I picked up a new full size M&P 45 as an early Christmas present to myself, the trigger absolutely sucked and was beyond a doubt the worse I had experienced in over 30+ years of shooting both as an LEO and for fun. Per my gauge it weighed close to 6.75 pounds, had no reset and felt like something was binding. I also have two M&P 9s. a full size and a compact and while there not the best they are getting better with time. I packed it up, called the PC at S&W and the next day FedEx delivered a prepaid shipping label. Off it went and five business days later she came back as a whole different gun! The trigger is now at 4.25 pounds, is nice and smooth and actually has a reset. Being a 1911 type most of my life I can honestly say that the PC came close. Total cost including round trip shipping was $157. They installed a PC sear, rounded off the safety plunger (little ball on the rear of slide when off the gun), polished the feed ramp like a mirror and a few other small "tricks" I'm sure. It was money well spent and with what I spent for the gun (LEO discount) and the PC I'm in it for just under $700. This is an absolute pleasure to shoot now and from what I have heard and read the safety plunger is one of the biggest issues affecting the triggers of the M&Ps. I'm glad to see S&W back in the running for the LE market once again and if I was active again the M&P would be one of my top choices to carry.
