StealthyBlagga
Today is the first day you can reserve on-site accommodation. The phones were hot this morning... took me an hour to get through. If you are thinking of staying on-site, I'd recommend getting on the phone sharpish.

MarkCO
We are so looking forward to no TV, no malls, maybe even some parking in a ditch, and shooting with friends at RM3G. Thanks to one of our friends, cabin booked too. Edited February 2, 2015 by MarkCO

Benelli Chick
Don't forget our NEW Team Competition this year. So many of you wanted to have something for every team to shoot and a head to head competition for the shoot-off instead of timed stages...and we've got it for you! Application is at both: http://www.rm3g.com/2015-Team%20app.pdf and http://rm3gworld.webs.com/applications All teams (only limited number allowed) will be shooting a Team stage where all 4 members of the team will be shooting a semi-blind stage. Upon sign-in at the range, the team captain will receive the time and stage description for the team stage. The team will show up during one of their off periods at the match to the assigned place and the RO's will meet you and take you to the stage. Team scores will be based on the 4 team members scores and the team stage score. Each of the 4 team members will need to shoot in a different division. On the team stage, the team decides who shoots what, but each team member must use their own guns. Top 4 teams will shoot head to head, single elimination at the Team shoot-off on Sunday, August 16 in the morning. All entry fees for the team competition will be paid back to the top 3 teams as cash prizes. We will also be giving a prize to top all female team, if they are not in the top 3. Right now, the plan is first place gets $150 each...at least! More teams or more sponsors and we'll be giving away more money! Think it will be a LOT of fun!! See you all at the range! GM2B
Does Colorado have any funky firearm or magazine restrictions that I need to be aware of? I plan to fly into Denver. Also, where is the best place to stay in Raton, NM. I saw some pretty shabby hotels on Kayak.com. Any recommendations?
MarkCO
Currently, CO does not allow possession of magazines acquired after 7-1-2013 that are over 15 rounds nor a shotgun tube magazine capable of holding more than 28" of shells. Almost all law enforcement is ignoring it, but the senate hearing to overturn it tomorrow was postponed due to snow. You can fly into Albuquerque. Benelli Chick
Best Western, Holiday Inn are nice. Some of the little rinky dink ones like the Budget Host are nice as well. They are clean and have saunas...JJ stays at the Robin Hood. Colorado has stupid magazine laws, but if you own them, as I understand it, just keep them in your luggage until you get to Raton. Thoughts: Colorado Springs Airport is closer..sometimes, you can get some great fares to fly in there. That means you avoid I-25 in Denver which sucks! Some people even fly into Albuquerque which is about the same distance away as Denver, and then no possible issues...and we are still mad at Colorado! There is a list of hotels on the website! See you there! DEnise

GM2B
Based on the little research i did. Flying into Colorado sorings with large capacity mags is ok as long as they are owned by me before 2013 and I don't transfer them to anyone. Is this accurate? I have never shot this match and I watched videos on YouTube of it all night! Looks rifle heavy! My favorite gun!!! Any further insight into the stages and into Colorado laws are much appreciated!!! MarkCO
Your are correct. RM3G is a great match, a rifleman's match, but you have to be skilled on all three platforms. Slugs to about 100, pistol to about 75, rifle to 600. Offhand rifle beneficial, might need as many as 50 rounds on the all shotgun stage. Need to be able to sling long guns. Mosquito's and snakes, but the ROs keep the snakes out of the way and the skeeters fed. Keep an eye on www.Elementmultigun.com for some RM3G match tips. We will be adding some over the next 30 days. Benelli Chick
Thanks so much Mark! I saw the first attempt at the RM3G/He-Man video and like RM3G, it wasn't short stages! :roflol:But, it did cover things - so I know when it gets posted it will be very useful! Thanks rtb...PLEASE call or write the Colorado Chamber of commerce and tell them you are flying into Albuquerque just to avoid our stupid and pointless laws!!! http://www.dexknows.com/local/government_and_community/business_associations/geo/m-denver-co/att/chamber-of-commerce/?gclid=CK3mgMew-MMCFQqFaQodzk8A1w This link is technically to Denver, but it's as close as I can get...and Denver's the stupid place anyway. On elementmultigun, they have a packing list for RM3G...though you need to add duct tape! You're going to be covering ground WHILE shooting, so start your workout program now!! That includes neck exercises so you can have your head on a swivel to find targets. Shooters tell me their best advice is...on all gully runs, look behind every big rock, because JJ will have put a target there! Everybody else...what else does he need to know??? You are correct, from my understanding of the "law", mags over 15 rounds are ok to bring into Colorado, as long as you owned it before 1 Jul 13 and you do not transfer it to anyone in Colorado. Disclaimer; I am not a lawyer, this is just my layman's understanding... And just for the record, I don't put a target behind EVERY rock... If I did every stage would have hundreds of targets. We have a lot of rocks... jj

AustinWolv
Everybody else...what else does he need to know??? Denise If there is an obvious painted steel target up high catching your attention, don't be surprised to see a 1/3-scale paper resting somewhere at waist level or below (sometimes in the grass, next to a tree, behind the aforementioned rock) typically below that steel target. Don't fall for the SQUIRREL! trick..... Edited February 23, 2015 by AustinWolv
bishop414
If you think you are in shape, 7000' elevation will change that. Lots of water, aspirin, and power bars get me through the match. As an RO, it is the best weight loss program out there. Practice with slung weapons, then draw an unloaded pistol etc. At least 1 all shotgun stage 40+ rd count and 1 all pistol stage, generally 50+ rounds. GM2B
U guys motivating me to go to the gym! I never considered the 6600 foot altitude difference. I have to account for that 1.5 MOA difference at 500 yards from my sea level zero!!! I will check the above website frequently. Thanks for all the great information! This match sounds like a blast!!!!
