  1. Currently we have two members on the Action Team. Myself primarily a 3 gunner finally getting back into the swing of things after 3 years overseas... Another new shooter who is just beginning USPSA. I am out of Florida and the other Team member is out of New England. We are looking for other Navy Active or Reserve Team members. Must be ambassadors for the sport. Winning matches is a plus but primarily being helpful and professionally representing the Navy is our goal. This is a volunteer team no funding at this time (unless the member has very supportive Commanding Officer.) We are hoping that will change if we are successful at professionally representing the Team.
  2. Very excited to be one of the two founder's of the Navy's new Action Shooting Team!!!! Will be posting lots of videos on youtube at the below link...! Been 5 years in the making and it is finally a reality!!!!! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdR_YjajU3YccWzLUOHEXWg?view_as=subscriber
  3. Great balance of fast and challenging stages. Great entertainment after hours, awesome food, and amazing prize table!!! First class RO's!!!! Definitely worth the travels! Looking forward to next year!!! Thank you for the AWESOME Match! Quite the feat for an inaugural match!!!!
  4. Not uspsa legal but super fast for other matches!!!
  5. Interesting variation of data here. Likely different barrel lengths. I push 115 RN plated with 3.8 of titegroup for a 129 pf out of a JP GMR 15.
  6. 3.8 titegroup 115plated bullet from bulletworks.net JP GMR15 runs 1200FPS. I havent tried any other bullets but this shoots super soft and groups well at 100 yards.
  7. Thank you for the information! One thing that is always challenging is 50+yard shots through pallets so you have to shoot the gun on a 90degree angle point of impact changes drastically as you know....!
  8. trying to buy airfare but I would like to verify that the match is Saturday and Sunday 1/2 day format or if you would like you can shoot the whole match on Friday in one day? Is this accurate? Or is the match 1 full day and 2 half days? Thank you!
  9. I am in Gainesville Florida and looking to carpool up for this match. Drive Thursday and return Sunday night... Anyone heading up from FL with room in their car or want to ride with me let me know.

  11. Thank you for the response! Is Colorado Springs safe to fly into with mags over 15 rounds? I was planning to shoot this match in 2015 but that fell through due to work. Hoping to make it out there this year. I have heard nothing but great things about this match!
  12. Where do you fly into? I really want to make it out to this match but some local Florida guys were telling me all about Colorado mag restrictions. Albuquerque?
  13. Mods Please delete. My question has been answered. Thank you!
  14. Did everyone get the confirmation? When I registered there were around 100 spots. Still no confirmation email.
  15. After a long break from shooting stationed in GTMO for 30 month... This will be my first major in a long time! How long did it take for you guys to get the clearance email? I signed up yesterday but haven't gotten the your are in email.
  16. I agree with the above post. For inside of 100 yards I prefer a dot. There is no tube obstructing your none dominant eye so you can see your next target more clearly. I shoot in tac ops for the prize table. Havent shot my dot gun since I started shooting major matches!
  17. 1 mile run 9 minutes and sore for 4 days after! First work out in about a year! Havent even reached elevation yet and I am already out of breath! Sue hope to make this match!
  18. U guys motivating me to go to the gym! I never considered the 6600 foot altitude difference. I have to account for that 1.5 MOA difference at 500 yards from my sea level zero!!! I will check the above website frequently. Thanks for all the great information! This match sounds like a blast!!!!
  19. Based on the little research i did. Flying into Colorado sorings with large capacity mags is ok as long as they are owned by me before 2013 and I don't transfer them to anyone. Is this accurate? I have never shot this match and I watched videos on YouTube of it all night! Looks rifle heavy! My favorite gun!!! Any further insight into the stages and into Colorado laws are much appreciated!!!
  20. Does Colorado have any funky firearm or magazine restrictions that I need to be aware of? I plan to fly into Denver. Also, where is the best place to stay in Raton, NM. I saw some pretty shabby hotels on Kayak.com. Any recommendations?
