Just to clarify there are no "first time" applications coming out in Jan. First timers should mail their applications in ASAP if not already done so which then will be selected base on post mark date after all veterans are registered that want to shoot. Sorry to the guys I told applications were coming for new shooters in Jan as stated in prior post.

I am sure some of you saw this coming. We have been thinking about the He-Man division a lot lately. Since it is SO very different from any of the other divisions...
here is one of those tweaks we were talking about. We have made a small change to He-Man equipment rules.

JP Rocky Mountain 3-Gun is going to ALLOW SUPPORTING DEVICES for He-Man Iron and He-Man Scope.

Supporting devices include, but are not limited to: bipods, vertical fore grips and evenly cinched mags.

Both He-Man divisions still need to be: .308, .45 (.44 Magnum is acceptable) and 12 gauge PUMP shotguns!

Before you ask...yes, you can use supporting devices in Open...NO, you can NOT use supporting devices in Limited Scope or Limited Iron.

See you all soon!

I am happy and sad to announce that JP Rocky Mountain 3-Gun 2015 is full!

I was able to allow a number of the new shooters in today, and I have high hopes that I will be able to get many more off the list. Between sponsor slots and future cancellations, I am sure I will get more people in.

The waitlist is not enormous, so please feel free to send in an application still. I will put you on the waitlist and get you in if at all possible!

Thanks so much for all your support and kind words! It is good to know that people enjoy our match and want to attend and I promise to do my best to get everybody in!

How did I not see this coming???? :surprise:

I have been asked if Sherpas count as supporting devices...we did neglect to mention in our new He-Man rule, that the supporting devices are assumed to be inorganic in nature...as has been assumed for Open as well.

I do not intend to rewrite the rule, but as USPSA does in "Front Sight", once I make a ruling on ENOS, it is law! :roflol: Even Open cannot have living humans or animals as supporting devices. I am sorry if anyone feels this is limiting Open. You have no mag limits on any of your guns, but must draw the line somewhere!

So we're not going to get to shoot off a dead elk? Dang, I was sure JJ was gonna have that in a stage this year!

Oh...if the elk is provided by the match...or Mother Nature, that's okay. You just can't bring your own dead elk!

So if a Sherpa dies naturally you can use them as a prop then?

Only if you leave them in place for the rest of the shooters. They become part of nature!!!

You can't cart them around with you!!!

This thread has taken a dark turn...but, I can see you're thinking hard...I think it's the smoke coming out of your ears! :roflol:

We are so fortunate to have so many AMAZING sponsors for Rocky Mountain 3-Gun! We already have over 65 generous and supportive sponsors and we haven’t even gone to SHOT SHOW!
I would love to put all 65+ here, but that would be a little overwhelming! Please go to www.rm3g.com to see all of them!

But, we’re going to be highlighting some of our sponsors in little groups!

Our first group…is the first group!! :goof: These sponsors have been with us since 2003, at the first RM3G! Now, that’s loyalty! Not only did they jump in to sponsor a relatively new shooting sport that almost no one had heard of, they’ve come back to support us year after year! You don’t see that kind of loyalty much anymore! Please “like” them on facebook. You’ll be able to see their specials and new products and other great stuff. But more importantly, check them out when you are thinking of buying anything for 3-Gun, other shooting sports…anything that they might carry!

Our thanks and appreciation go out to ALL our sponsors…but today, we want to acknowledge the sponsors that have stuck with us through thick and thin…from before JJ and I even ran the match!!

Thanks goes to:
JP Enterprises http://www.jprifles.com/who have been the title/match sponsor since 2003.
Brownells, Inc. http://www.brownells.com/ last years' Ladies Shoot-Off sponsor, Burris Optics Company http://www.burrisoptics.com/a Colorado up and comer in optics DPMS Panther Arms http://www.dpmsinc.com/who have sponsored the Junior Shoot-Off for the last 4 years, Machine Gun Tours http://machineguntours.com/ who provide interesting pick-up guns and whatever else we need, Nordic Components http://nordiccomp.com/who have worked as RO's and are always there when we need them, Sierra Bullets http://www.sierrabullets.com/who sign up almost before the previous year's match is over and bring the Sierra car and the certificates that mean more bullets,Trijicon https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/index.php past sponsor of the Shooter BBQ/Junior Benefit and XS Sight Systems http://www.xssights.com/ another early signer upper! All of these sponsors are generous and loyal! Let's show them some love!
