  1. Hey Luke and I had hard fun. Could not stay for awards I have to be at work in the morning. Are scores posted somewhere. Luke needs to know if he beat the old man
  2. A Little update,, I shot a 100 or so rounds through the LaRue barrel,,, I think I dirtyed it up just enough,, It got to start liking the 75Gr Hornday Shot them at 250,400 and 500,,, got good consistent hits I'm happy!
  3. they were more wide, Put a Jerry M break on it. I'm going to load some Nice,, Nosler 55's and some 69's and hit the range on Saturday. shoot some groups. and see how they hit steel,, at 200,300,400 and 500. see what the truth will be.
  4. Hell ya,, they are,, I'll have to see what they do at distance,, RM3G is what I'm gearing up for,,,
  5. I was able to zero,,, the new rig.. and shot some groups,, I was not able to shoot it past 100,, Interesting and Frustrating. the 75's and 77's two inch group at 100yds the 55's cheap bulk,, that I use for short range........ one inch group at 100 go figure.. I hope to get to a long distance range next weekend ,, shoot 200,300,400,500 and see what I can hit.. I guess those cheap 55's are back in the mix,,,
  6. It is a forum,, and we get what we get,, thanks for the input. I hope to shoot the laRue this weekend sometime. I'll let you know what happens,,
  7. Well I got the laRue put it together last night,, it will be a week or so till I get to shoot it,, I'm not worried about 100 yd groups,, I want to hit 400,500 and 600yd tgts,,,
  8. I got the barrel on Friday,, it looks good,, nice finish. I for the laRue gas block and Tube, to go with it. I'll get it together this week,, I think top ports means ,, it has muzzle rise,, and it needs to be kept down,,,
  9. The LaRue 16in Light weight looks interesting 1-8 should work with the 75Gr ok.. I just ordered one,,, it will be interesting what groups I get out of it.
  10. I'm thinking Light weight,,, I have heavy barrels,,, and I'm going with Hornady 75GR training ammo,,,, working a new 3 gun rig,, just for the fun of it,,
  11. Looking for new barrel, .223 Wylde Light weight, 16 in. I want to shoot 75 Gr bullets. Is anyone shooting one,, that they are happy with the results? If so What one? Thanks
  12. But does it extract ok? I had a 308 that gave me Hell for too long. my re loads would fall in and out of the Gage. but would stick in the gun. Long story, short,, I ground down, the shell holder,, I just held it on a grinder wheel, just a lil bit,, I didn't go nuts on it,, , now when I """""Small Base size"""" it also bumps the shoulder back a lil bit.. 308 ammo works better in all my guns now,,
  13. Link to application page is not working,,, Trying to send you money Top link worked,,, the one on the bottom of the page did not,,,
  14. Comments. Discuss. Not knowing what to expect I showed up with Tools ready for the biggest job. 308 A-max 155, .45 230 HP, 12 GA. With the mind set of. If the problem can be solved with 3 Guns, I have the tools. After shooting the match. I’ll change up those tools a bit. Standards stages. Not thrilled, for my personal reason, if you’re at a place like Blue Steel ranch/ NRA Wittington, I want to shoot out in the open not shoot a stage I can shoot at any square range. I warmed up to the Standards, as I shot them OK. And it was a skill set test that it was meant to be. Real Blind stages!!!!! I like them, they are the only true test of “What IF” I know of, without getting shot at for real. If that scares some competitors off. Oh well. I like the challenge on all levels of the Blind stage. From what goes on in our head, to what equipment YOU decided to bring. Beep, Go make it happen! The other stages,,, not in the match,, I choose to shoot full auto from the razor, Hell YA,, can’t do that most places,, the other stages , meh,, fun to watch the guys who wanted to shoot them. Square range stuff I can do at any range. and a Nice break. to have fun and hang out. Getting done early, GREAT!! No back log, just show up re-read, the stage description and load and make ready. I shot First many times. No advantage not to. And I’m a ready to go kind of guy, its and Old Army thing. No walk through, no Stage HOG’s getting in your way when you’re walking the stage and they are two squads behind you. I like it, and from a match Director stand point a real time saver. Are you here to shoot? Or Dance? I shoot 3 Gun to Shoot! And have fun. I Shot and had fun! I hope you have another and I hope I can get the time off from work! Jim- M ammo
  15. Thanks,, great Vid also! lets everyone know,,,, what it was like!! the ridge was my best stage,,, between sweat running in my eyes and some bug flying in my glasses of my shooting eye,, it was high,, personal drama,, but a great challenge too.
  16. If we told you we would have to you know.....................................
  17. Adrenalin pumped, Humbling, Exciting, Frustrating. Unable to put into words what goes on in your head during a semi Blind/ Surprise stage. Waiting for the Shadow of Kurt Miller? You know what I'm saying! Eric Miller, Giving the match a life! That makes you laugh and makes your Soul happy to be a 3 Gunner. Having Denise politely call you a Maggot! JJ. I know he gets Joy, out of the Surprise stage. he has that lil JJ evil Grin! Scott Hawkins and Wife. Running good stages. Who doesn't want a Special Forces CSM Yelling at you. "" Get back to the line and shoot that plate!!!!!!!!!!!"" I'm sure it was just me, Hmmmm Hmmmm. It has taken 30++ years, for the opportunity to shoot a SOF 3 Gun. A personnel quest. All Joking aside. I can't thank JP enough for making this happen. And My dream come true. I'll be looking for the next Resurgence 3 Gun (SOF).
