hercster
That is seriously beautiful. It's so sleek and understated. That's the look that I call "a tuxedo gun". Tell us more.
BeerBaron
Nice. Atlas limited custom.
kneelingatlas
The slide is heavily lightened, 10.4oz complete, by comparison the factory Limited slide is 12.5oz. I haven't hit the chrono with these loads yet, but using an 8# spring they were very flat and snapped right back on target (albiet, harder in the hand than my 6"). BeerBaron
lol @ "heavily lightened".. English is a funny language. 20% weight reduction is pretty awesome. Do you know what a regular limited custom slide weighs? I've always found it weird that ROTW gets their limiteds (well they call it limited custom) with lightened slide from the factory (4 pretty big coffin cuts) but the US gets it sans lightening. I'm guessing it may be 11oz or so? maybe 11.5.

Walküre
Finally took some photos of my Open gun: Started life as a Limited in .38 Super; now tuned for SuperComp and wearing a C-More on a DoubleTap mount. Top end and misc machine work was done by Rich out at Canyon Creek. Final tweaking/tuning done by CGS, a local smith I use for a lot of different things. Walküre
How are you liking the comp? I have mine with rich now. Should be back soon. I'm excited. The whole setup is WAY better than the Gold Team V12 I used to have - way more comfortable to shoot, and flatter as well. Also needs significantly less powder to make PF. Open1215
Thank you. What is your current load? I will have a v6 port as well but most of the data I'm going off of is from a gold team
Walküre
Thank you. What is your current load? I will have a v6 port as well but most of the data I'm going off of is from a gold team 9.8gr of 3N38 under a 124gr Berrys HBRN-TP @ 1.260" OAL for 184 PF. By contrast, my V12 only gave 170 PF for 10.2gr of 3N38; that's actually why I have the load I have, instead of something lighter. I haven't even tried anything lighter, because I thought that 9.8gr would be my starting point. I may work up some lighter 3N38 loads to see how those behave, but I'm very quickly running out of 3N38. As I know that 9.8gr works, I'm sticking with it for the next couple of batches to be sure I have a trusted load ready for the first major matches of the year. With the current powder situation, I am getting ready to work up some loads with HS6 and WAC as alternatives. WAC is available locally at the moment so I picked up a pound the other day, and a friend has graciously given me some HS6 to try out. Depending on what those act like, I may switch my standard load over sooner rather than later.
Open1215
Ok good to know. I have some 3n38 loaded w 124 and 115s. I also have hs-6 N hs-7. Once I get the gun I'll let u know where I'm at. May be high w the v6 but we will see. Nice experiment to see how holes affect pf!

I think you'll like the 3N38 more than WAC (at least I do in my V12), but I'm not sure on HS6, it may be a great alternative. Yeah my V12 load is 10.4gn 3N38 for 172pf with a 124gn RN CMJ at 1.250. I doubt I could safely get any more powder in as it's already very slightly compressed by my calculations. It shoots pretty nicely though.
Burman
I picked up this Limited Custom a couple of days ago. I've been quite busy with work and a family trip over the weekend so I still haven't shot it. I did however take this opportunity to clean it thoroughly instead of just following the urge to race down to the range and give it a go.
