Flatland Shooter Posted June 18, 2013 Share Posted June 18, 2013 On pistol, I've tried 12, 8 and 6 MOA C-More dots. It seems like the more I practice, the smaller the dot I prefer. A 12moa to covers 3" at 25yds. The upper A-zone is 4" wide by 2" tall....in other words, a 12moa dot won't even fill in the entire upper A. Started with a 12 am now down to an 8 and will probably move to a 6 soon. i think the better your index, the smaller dot you can use. For me the bigger dot was a crutch for a crappy index. 40S&W Posted June 28, 2013 Share Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) I use Tasco Propoint 5 with 4 dot sizes on my scoped guns. Dot sizes are 4,8,12,16 MOA. Depending what I shoot and distance, will dictate dot size. On average, I either use the 8MOA or 12 MOA. Just nice to change dot sizes based on scenario, plus it's nice to have a 45mm objective lens...never any dot loss.
