Jesse Tischauser
Can we get a clarification on what points series this match is a part of? Or more specifically does it count for the 3 gun nation deal? Edited May 9, 2011 by jtischauser
P.E. Kelley
Can we get a clarification on what points series this match is a part of? Or more specifically does it count for the 3 gun nation deal? Jesse, I am pretty sure the CMMG match is NOT part of the 3GN points series. It is not listed on the 3GN web site as an event. So just go have a fun and rockit! Chuck Anderson
I'd be surprised if Chad is there at this one. If it's not 3GN I don't see him coming. That said, I'm not surprised they didn't include this match this year. This is my first time going. If it's wasn't for Bianchi, I would have already cancelled the trip. I've never seen this level of planning and communication out of a match this size. The rules listed on the website may or may not be accurate, the schedule almost certainly isn't, Do I need to attend a class to shoot or not, can I dump a hot, safe gun? I would imagine part of the confusion about the 3GN thing is because they have the 3GN shootoff listed on the webpage as part of the schedule. Firetoad
I know that this is not directly from the horse's mouth, but as far as dumping a "hot", safe'd firearm, I did speak to Ken Flood and several of the RO's at last month's CMMG match about this. The rules are not correct on the website regarding the abandonment of firearms. I was told by these guys that we will be able to dump a "hot", safe'd firearm just like USPSA and most other Outlaw matches. I know that this is how they were running last month's match. As far as 3 Gun Nation points, this match will NOT be part of the 3 Gun Nation Points Series. I know that all of this is not directly from the directors, but it is what several of them told me a month ago. Hope it helps a little!
caz41
The website does list 3gun nation on Sunday at 1100 on the schedule of events. Whether or not that is accurate doesn't bother me that much, however I hope that the rest of the times/days are correct. It lists early registration on Friday from 0700-0830 which I would like to take advantage of to save on some vacation time from work if possible. I really hope Ken drops in here and firms a few things up soon, this match is getting close.
aheadofthecurve
Is a passenger car fine for the range....or would a SUV/4wd be a good idea?
EvilBetty
Passenger car can get up there just fine unless they forget to mow

I've heard that dumping is OK, I've heard that I don't have to go to the meeting, I've heard a bunch of stuff, but it's all second hand. I really don't want to get there an pull a Neth. (Sorry Dave). It would be nice to have the actual match rules available to out of area folks more than a week before the match.
jlaw973
Passenger cares are fine as long as it doesn't rain like last year. So far everything is in pretty good shape at the range, as far as mud, there is none! Let's hope it stays that way.
