AlamoShooter
I like the Robar NP3 its a hard chrome finish that has a lubricating factor to it. it has a dull shine to it robarguns.com and the help at the events a gun 9 years ago and my new Benny Hill gun this past year. the 9 year old gun still looks new & was NP2? they did not have the NP3 that long , Edited February 24, 2011 by AlamoShooter

superdude
NP3 is electroless nickel - teflon, not hard chrome. http://www.robarguns.com/np3.htm
gunracer38
I have sent many pistols to Metaloy Industries Inc for 15 years. I even sent him one when a known gunsmith warned me not to hard chrome it. Chris Peters has been hard chroming guns for years. He also worked for a very great gunsmith. E-Mail Chris at metaloy@alltel.net or www.originalmetaloy.com. phone 870-423-4225. I am sure you will not be sorry for having Chris hard chrome your pistol. CHARLES D
I heard thru the grapevine Virgil Tripp may start hardchroming again. Might be worth a try to contact him
tjs375
Another hit for APW, I had them matte finish hard chrome my STI Tactical, have not had any problem with it and the finish looks good.

JakeMartens
Metaloy is who I use for hard chrome, great service. Rich Chris from Metaloy has also been a match sponsor for the last several years of the Indiana USPSA Section Match, and is again this year donating 2 complete refinishing job certificates. Great work, great sponsor to have!!
