2011 Shooting Goals?

#1 Live up to my "Shooters Resolution" goal of getting each of us to bring 1 new shooter into the sports this year.

#2 Get all my USPSA percentages up to my class level (revo is what I shoot) and them bottom feeder #'s are not where they should be.

#3 Start shooting classifiers at my ability level.

#4 Get "ZSA" really off the ground, which brings me back to #1.

#5 Beat Bones, done that, beat Otis

Not go back to Production if/when I get flustered with my new division of SSTK.

Remember I do not have 10 rounds and learn how to count no higher than eight.

Take the safety off before yanking on the trigger....which would lead to other goal of more dry firing so I'm not slapping the trigger.

I need one classifier to be classified that is step one.

Step two would be to better that class from what will probably be a D to at least a C

practice practice practice to make step 2 possible.

lastly learn all I can from this site since I just joined today I have alot of learning to do :surprise:

Well my goal to win A class production at a major match will have to wait. I only shot 2 local matches before making Master in production!! I guess that winter dry firing pays off!!

New 2011 goals:

-Win 1st Master in Production at a major

-Make GM in Production by July

I'm horrible at making goals. I've already reached another of my goals for the whole year. I was bumped to Stock Service Pistol - Sharpshooter yesterday at the Friends of the Wounded Warrior Project Gateway Classic.

Set the bar higher, then.

Yeah, but I thought my goals would be more realistic. If you set your goals too high you can become frustrated by not reaching them.

USPSA- get classified, or better yet shot a match. First 2 monthly's were snowed out. I was out of town for the second. Let's hope the weather is nice next Sunday!

IDPA - master in ESP and expert in CDP.

I have not competed in 21 years! I competed very heavily 1986 - 1990 (ah, the great old days) I got bit by the bug again really bad.

When I contacted USPSA they told me that some records were lost from those days when they computerized all of their records. No biggie...I rejoined immediately.

My goal? Get my A-Card in Limited and Single Stack in USPSA...may try to seriously compete in IDPA this year but with my focus on USPSA, I may not be able to spend that much time away from family.

GONZO!!!

For me, I have a couple....

Learn to load (to feed the addiction)

Stop spending money on guns and more on practice

Overall local winner L10 or SS

Overall winner steel challenge (iron sights)

Get my GF to enjoy the sport

Shoot as much as I can

Enjoy it and not worry about how I actually do

Let me know when you get your press and we'll figure out a time to get her set up.

1. Make class C in limited (done! at first match).

2. Make class B in Production.

3. Improve my efficiency of movement through stages, especially entering and leaving shooting positions.

4. Design a stage or two at our local club match.(have never done this before).

I have a couple that I am carrying over from last year and some new ones.

- Make M in USPSA, either Prod or SS

- Win my class at a level II or higher match

- Practice more

Well. I achieved one of these goals this year. I made M in prod.

Make it to A class.

More important, to finish in the top 25% across the board.

Lose weight and get into better shooting condition physically.

Improve shotgun skills overall so I don't dislike it anymore.

Actually train.

Made A class, Out of 25 matches, had 23 in the top 25% (Got my JP pin at RM3G!). Still working on the last three.

1. Make A in Production - 1/15/2011

2. First Production A Texas Open Championship - March 11-13

3. First Production A Double Tap Championship - June 3-5

4. Earn IDPA Master class via match bump - June 31

5. Make M in Production - 12/31/2011

Well all of these have gone horribly wrong. I had a terrible match at Texas Open, I sat out Double Tap due to injury, and I don't really shoot IDPA any more.

The only thing left is making M by the end of the year, but I'm not sure I even want to considering I took 2nd A at Nationals, and not 1st place.

Bah Humbug!
