Bafaction-

I'm glad you like it! That's a very fine compliment coming from you. Thanks.

If you want to build one like it, I say go for it!

I don't know if I'll ever make another one, they are a lot of time and effort.

I've tinkering with this .38 super Tanfo lately.

Shot a P9 (in 9x21) years ago for a short time and always remembered I liked the way it felt in the hand. Saw this on the forum and it just spoke to me... (I hate it when that happens! ) No regrets at all though as the gun is a good shooter, reliable, and accurate. Caspian 170mm mags (new style) fit and run great in this gun, which is nice since my main gats are Caspian. This tanfo needs a little work here and there and was a work in process when I bought it, but that is part of the fun and one of the reasons it spoke to me. Not a lot to be done to it just some slide lightening, a little trigger work, and refinishing. A lot of the work was already done by the previous owner. The grips are actually silver and I sprayed them with red dykem to match the scope and magwell, looks great but not super durable. Also have a 9mm super sight upper on order to shoot Limited Minor or 3gun (one of the great things about Tanfos is the easy caliber swaps!)

My .38 Super Gold Custom. Double AA 3-in-1 Mount, Grey CMore SlideRide, Henning Mags. Otherwise Bone Stock. These pics were taken before it's first range trip. It's a bit dirtier now...

Here it is in it's Safariland 014 Holster on ELS belt. The Holster is awesome!

Depends how much you shoot. I'd the same mount before and it cracked on me twice as the blast shield is directly above the barrel port holes. All the hot gas and debris will hit directly to the shield each time it fired. You need a mount that brings the blast shield away from those port holes. =)

Aaaah, im drooling over the top one.

what finish is that?

how does the balance of the one top, with shortened dustcover and slide cuts, feel compared to the bottom one.
