Thompson Center Contender - Hunting/Comp

1911 Comander - Cary/comp

Ruger Redhawk/S&W 29 4" - Hunting Cary and Comp.

Yes I am a bit of a Big Bore nut, besides I own all three already

.40 BHP for carry,

Any decent limited division pistol. I like my TS, but any 2011 that ran really good with hand and factory loads would also be fine.

A S&W .41 mag revo. I just like those pistols.

- STI custom built 2011 9 Major Open gun

- Sig P220 Carry Elite (45)

- S&W M&P Pro Series (9mm)

If I could choose from any 3 (not just from what I already have), then I'd swap out the Sig & the M&P for:

- Custom 1911 in 45

- Custom 2011 Limited gun in 40

(By the way, being that "the world has changed", hopefully I still have my ARs, bolt guns, and shotguns!! ph34r.gif )

OK the world changed and you can only have 3 handguns .

what are the 3 that you would have ?

I was thinking 1-1911 for carry

1-1911 for target

1-38/357 snubby for carry

Is money an object here? Does one have to pay for the ammo to shoot said guns? Here's my list:

Money no object-

1. S&W .500

2. Glock 18

3. A super nice 1911 to be both a carry gun and a compete gun

Money IS object-

1. 1911 for carry and competing

2. Ruger MK III for plinking

3. Glock 22 for reliability

S&W M&P9C w/ Crimson Trace, My current carry gun.

S&W M&P9 Pro, My current USPSA gun (don't need any more).

S&W X-Frame 460 S&W Magnum, 8 and 3/8" ported, w/ an Aimpoint dot.

Never found a better carry gun, and the practice carries over between USPSA and defensive.

The 460 S&W Magnum? Shoots everything from 45 "Special" pop-loads, to legit big-game-at-200yds loads, with exceptional accuracy, and it just screams "Bad-Ass"...

Will be my next handgun purchase.

Jeff
