Full mag
I just installed a Quinn ll on my Competitor but my slide racker wont work. I want to keep it on the left side and I am looking for the one that gives me the most thumb room. I have seen a few that said they work with it, but I really want to see what it looks like on the gun. I hate to spend $30 or $40 and not be happy, so I look to the dark side for help... Thanks in advance
JThompson
The one that was designed to work with it might be good. If you want to put it on the left side there isn't another that will work better. JT Quinn Engineering

Thanks in advance Get the Shooters Connection Sidewinder XL, it works grate with the Quinn or the CCG mounts. I've had the protype on mine for some time now and it works great. http://shootersconnectionstore.com/Shooters-Connection-Sidewinder-Slide-Racker-XL-Unfinished-P1593.aspx
Glockcomma
I have Quinn slide rackers on 2 of my open guns one with CCG mount and one with the Quinn II. I don't have any problems with clearance for my thumb. The racker is very light, I ordered mine without a set screw and had them installed with a detent. Alan Adamson
Here are some pictures of the first Quinn racking lever, it's since been revised to be slightly longer and also a smidge more forward on the angles. Hope this helps. Alan
JThompson
Mine weighs less than 9 grams... it's a shame to cut all that metal off the slide and then bolt it back on. Edited February 23, 2010 by JThompson

mildot1
The Quinn gets my vote, Don't think you will find a better set up. I tend to "fly" my thumb when going for the grip and I have had no trouble getting by the racker. I have however on re-holstering managed to pinch part of the ten lb's that I put on this winter from being laid off. I don't want to discuss that issue any further Mildot
Liske
Please tell me where I can buy this aluminum slide racker for Quinn-2 mount? In the online stores such as speedshooter, this item is not in stock. And they cannot say when this product will be available.

Intel6
I will just add to this post for historical purposes. I got an undrilled Quinn II mount and a racker and sent it to Gans when I had him turn my Factory SV in 9x23 into a 9mm. He lightened up the slide and installed the mount and the racker. Attached is a pic of them on the gun without a scope. It is a good pic because it shows what they look like without the scope covering things up. I have used this set up for a few years now and really like the mount and the racker both. Neal in AZ

Liske
I have not been able to buy a slide racker, for Quinn-lll mount. I decided that it is necessary to resolve the issue yourself. After a few test versions, I finally managed to get exactly the racker, which I need! CocoBolo
None is my favorite. Yeah, its a cool fashion accessory. I've have heard it is faster on an uloaded start, bunk, we had an unloaded start in a steel match, 5 runs, we kept track of time to first shot, I beat all 3 of the other guys with slide rackers to first shot on every run. So you spend that money whacking the slide down to fighting weight then hang a fishing weight on it? Well then there is the agony of taking it off every time you have to clean the gun, then it may well fall off in the middle of a run etc. If you do get one go first class detent ball, no screwing it on. IMHO. It makes as much sense as FienStien banning bayonet lugs.
EkuJustice
It depends on your mount. I have the cheely set back was I want the mount way back as I have popple holes and I don't like the module over the breech face. It's not easy to rack it without a racker. I run a short cheeley on the right side so not much weight added

I first have to racker was made of aluminum, but it did not seem strong enough, although he had very little weight. Titan strongly wins on reliability, but not much inferior to the weight. So, use of titanium is justified.Racker holds a spring-loaded ball in the slide, and there is no problems with disassembling the gun. I put the ball on the three pistols and had no problem with poor fixation racker. On my racker, long lever with teeth. According to this, even with wet hands, not to slip out of the racker.
