  1. I use this little box and it works quite nice. http://www.belkin.com/pressroom/releases/uploads/12_16_09_BTMusicReciever.html
  2. Yeah the FO get's in the way, sucks. Too bad I can't get my hands quickly on the plain serrated Dawsons as I am located here in Asia They don't ship to Asia? Dawson doesn't do export at all, I've experienced the same thing.......but Cajun Gunworks can help you!
  3. This is the nicest most cool USPSA/IPSC video I have ever seen! I've put it on my iPad to show 'non shooters' how cool shooting can be!
  4. I shoot a stainless 75B, because it feels very nice during transitions and other 'gun manipulation'. I don't care for a tad more recoil......funny thing is that new shooters who like CZ's, mostly pick a Shadow and don't even try the other CZ flavours. A regular 75/85 with upgraded sights and competition hammer, is a very nice gun and does everything a Shadow does.
  5. With a FO front I'm able to put the holes in the target and with a thin black front, I'm able to place it where I want it ;-)
  6. I still drill the frontsights: my shooting buddy skipped drilling a frontsight and that made the bushing from his 75B go flying.. If you do the drilling carefully (I use a cordless bitdriver at such a low speed that it's barely cuts and I can control it fairly well) you can do this several times. I have changed frontsights at least 10 times on my current CZ ;-) But for me the Dawson all black serrated fronts are the holy grail of CZ front sights and I've tried every variation CZcustom sells.
  7. I'm 42 actually and I really hate FO's ;-)
  8. I use a Dawson .215 'all black' with a CZcustom tactical rear on my stainless 75B and I really love it! Just about every front sight has been tried on my CZ, but the 'black Dawson' is about perfect ;-)
  9. Yep, that's a nice 1911: thanks for the pic ;-)
  10. My former dentist made a mess of some things and when he retired, my new dentist made x-rays and found 5 leaking or cracked fillings. Some of them had bad things going on underneeth them. Finally it was all fixed, but my dental insurance would not cover it.....so I had to pay about $750 to clean up the mess :-(
  11. Are you sure that the slide has an extra cut for the LPA adjustables? I was under the impression that it uses the same sight as fitted on a Kadet kit and that sight fits in a standard CZ dovetail. But if you send an email to CZcustom they know for sure what will fit and what doesn't.

    CompTac 75B holster?

I also want a Comp-Tac for my 75b ;-) Recently I ordered a Comp-Tac for my Glock 17 and it's the best Kydex holster I've seen/used with lots of attention to detail...........so please fix that mold!
  13. Are the Para 9mm hi-cap mags with or without spacers (are hate spacers)?
  14. I use BC's Perma Blue (which is a gel) and Ultra Blue. Perma Blue is a bit more black, while Ultra Blue has a more blueish colour. But just like 'anachronism' says the final result depends a lot of the way the metal is finished. Shiny blued steel is almost impossible to touchup without being easily visible. Matte blued steel is very easy to work on.

    SR-9 update

My mags got a lot 'better' after I kept them fully loaded for 2 days.
  16. I find it difficult to get long courses in my head, but I do manage by being quiet at the briefing and listen carefully to the amount of shots and the amount of targets.......after that I really need 2 walkthroughs :-( In the first I try to find where all the targets are (while counting them) and find a logic route for shooting them all. When the amount of targets/shots is right, I do the second and try to find the spots where I want to make my reloads (I shoot IPSC PD) and then with a little luck it's locked in my brain. I must say I'm not very experienced (yet) and stick to my own plan, even I see better shooters choosing other strategy's: when I change my gameplan in between I tend to mess up and 'forget' targets.
  17. I love my iPad2 and I've put the digital editions of American Handgunner on it and it reads very nicely ;-)
  18. And it's much cheaper! According to the 2011 pricelist, a Stock 2 costs 1530 euros, while the '3' costs 890!
  19. I shoot a stainless 75B with a competition hamer and a 15 pound hammer spring and the trigger is just as smooth as a Shadow. Get a used 75B, put CZcustom competition sights on it and a competition hammer (with lighter hammer spring) and you have a fairly cheap and very competitive gun.

    Kydex for CZ 75-B

I'm going to use the holster for IPSC Production Division.

    Kydex for CZ 75-B

I need a holster for my CZ-75B (stainless 9mm), but what is available in Kydex for the 75B? Blade-tech has them, but I hate the belt attachment with the stupid shims. Comp-Tac used to make holsters for the 75B, but the mold is broken :-( Any other options?

    100% Grip-tape Grips

I like the way the gun feels in my hand with the aluminum grips, but I have large hands and when shooting strong hand only I need to 'squeeze' a bit to get a good grip: which tells me the grips are to small for my hands.

    100% Grip-tape Grips

Yep, I've also spend a lot of $$$ on grips but I've concluded that the CZ rubbers fit me very well.

    SR-9 update

Here they are: http://www.ameriglo.net/catalog/sights/pistol-sights/ruger-0 I must say though that my pistol shoots to low, so I must trim the front sight, but that doesn't bother me.
