Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I see the tape on the upper non-dominant eye more at the range. After reading this series of comments, I'm going to try it as I tend to squint my let eye to get the sights focused.
  2. Thanks for the info. Do you know of many places in Iowa that shoot IDPA?

    SR-9 update

Thanks for the info. Are the Ameriglo sights a front fiber optic only or do you have an aftermarket rear sight also. I'd like to switch the rear to something similar to a Dawson notched site or a warren tacical if one was available for the SR-9.
  4. In the midwest. Matches in eastern Nebraska, Minn, Iowa, would be preferred. Thanks.
  5. I want to try the IDPA game with a 4" S & W 610 revo. What are the acceptable holster types and where is a a good source for IDPA acceptable moon clip holders?
  6. Do you know of any specific rimfire steel matches coming up? I want to shoot my 617 in more steel matches this year.
  7. Have you tried any Montana Gold 180 gr. JHP with titegroup? I have loaded 3.3 gr. for steel challenge and 4.6 gr. for local matches. Worked in Glocks and Revo.

    SR-9 update

Is anyone having success with refining the SR-9 into a suitable gun for production? what modifications seem to work?
  9. Does anyone have any favorite loads for a 3 7/8" 610? Has anyone used 180gr. MG JHP over titegroup in a 610?
  10. I have shot a 6.5" and own a 3 7/8". For me personally, the 3 7/8" feels more balanced, gets on target quicker and the transition from target to target is smoother. The longer sight radius is a factor with a barrel length difference of 2 5/8". With that said the 3 7/8" gun is quite accurate. Regular dry firing practice to get in sync with the revo action will overcome any sight radius issue. Also, have your S&W revo action Carmonized.
  11. Has anyone used 180 gr. Montana Gold JHP and Titegroup in a S&W 610? I am using the 180 MG JHP in a G35 and G22 Glock. I would like to not have a seperate bullet and powder for the 610. In reload practice drills (with inert rounds) the MG's slip in a well chamfered cylinder extremely easy. Any thoughts or past experience? Thanks.
  12. Has anyone used Magtech small pistol primers? Any experience loading .40 S&W and Magtech primers?
