  1. congrats to the last two posts about losing belts sizes!!!!!!! from a 48" to 33" and the last one about losing 30 lbs!!! great!!!!!!!
  2. I like the photos you have and I dont think the 5.4 barrel looks bad at all but in the end the whole idea is or was to get more sight radius, isn't it? if your going to spend money...why not go witht he 6"??? I think the photo below with the 6" looks good, too. I kinka of like better! thanks
  3. how about powder!! primers I guess if you bite the bullets you can get them off of GBroker
  4. what am thinking... since your slide is already cut for a STracker barrel in the 5" config., changing to the 5.4 STracker barrel the rear of the weighted area on top of the barrel may be a shorter length than your 5" barrel? does that make sense?
  5. I recently saw a video about polishing the feed ramps on the barrel. I have just reinstalled my barrel and had no idea about this. How important is it? The gun before and am sure it will just fine but in the back of my mind, like the V8 commerical,,, I could have had a V8!!!!!! thanks
  6. am sure we ALL feel your pain!!!!!! its coming...and its going to impact ALL of us, one way or another.
  7. who makes that barrel/blank setup? where did you get it? thanks
  8. GunBroker is listing BCG's from a well known company for over 1,000 dollars...
  9. Why would someone want or need a BCG with a side charging handle? thanks
  10. Is there really a difference between a MSpec and a brand name such as Spikes, RRA, DDs??? would like to get one but some of the prices on GBroker are out of the roof for a brand name BCG. am thinking just getting a MSpec. this is for a bull 20" standard gas setup. thanks
  11. I use velcro straps. you can get a roll at the hardware store, cut them to the length you want. 3 or 4 inches long and wrap them around the inner/outer belt. even with a Limited setup, three or four mags fill to capacity, your outer belt will begin to sag. I want everything rock solid. I have one in front ot the first mag pouch and one after the last pouch...one behind the pistol holster. rock solid, everything thanks
  12. I also use a Weaver 1x3 it does every thing I need it to do up to 200 yds. For me i dont do much AR shooting but thats fine. With a 16" stock barrel, all the shots inside the A zone. thanks
  13. I have a SV gun and Para gun that use the same magazines. When I got the Para I didnt want to spend more money on getting different mags. I just had a muffler shop welder, weld a bead on the ledge of the catch. Went home filed the bead flat to match the slot of the SV mags, when you insert them, you can see where top of slot is, in relation to the slot of the frame. You can also file the Para mag. slot higher to match the mag catch. Para mags with the Dawson basepad will hold one more round than the SVs. So, I can use both mags. thanks
  14. Para has alot of great stuff! Its just you can't get it, for whatever reasons.
  15. sold out...they used to have a 40sw top end also. sold out.
  16. Has anyone used the Warp speed hammer on a Limited gun? Just looking for opinions, I bought one and not sure to use it or get the Lite speed hammer that is usually seen on Limited guns. Would it be a good choice with a 17lb main. spring setup. thanks
  17. have you seen the Dan Wesson Mayhem 6" gun? Am sure after you do, you might want to build one just like it.
  18. What I don't understand is that wilson doesnt sell a rear sight with a .90 notch. It isnt listed on BE product listing. So I dont know where Bob get his rear sights. Although he mention that if you did want a larger notch, you can by just replacing the rear blade. I really didnt pay that much attention to the sight combos he had because I was wearing my contacts and not my shooting glasses to give a fair assessment. I use on my SV gun a .80/.105 or so. And with my contacts it was hard see what I needed to see until I open the rear, ever so slighty with a file to get to the .105. It is much better now. I see awhole lot better with the glasses I got from DECOT, for sure. I can see what their getting at with the .70/.90 but I think (for me) I may need a little more light in the rear and opening it with a file would not really be a big deal. Thing about Bob/Brazos, his guns are top notch!!! I have never bought a gun from him but after talking to him, he does have his own way of building HIS guns, no doubt about that. And am sure he stand 110% behind his work!!! Very nice triggers better than some of the others in the vendors tent that day... thanks
  19. I spoke to Bob at the vendors tent @ this years Nationals. The 5" gun has the MannyDot .70/.90 sight comb. He said that this was something he was testing with Manny Bragg. He also mentioned in his opinion, he didnt think the 6" was something that I would not like. hope this helps.
  20. S_I frames are built. A good slide, lets say SVI, yes there are other but SVI slides are very good. Even changing out a barrel or trigger group is not uncommon, it should last a very long, long time. BTW with the SVI slides and interchangable breeface! Should last forever. thanks
  21. all the time...what gun do I need next, find money for primers and bullets. its never ending!!!
  22. How about an un-ported 6" Schuemann barrel in a 5" frame, with the front sight on the barrel? very doable!!!! but is there enough at the end of a 5" slide for proper "lockup"? thanks
  23. in matter in fact, at the Nationals there was not one stage that you drew your gun from a stand still position. Either the gun was on the a table or there was at least one step during the draw... thanks no I take that back, yes, one small stage.)
  24. I agree with Seth! Concern yourself with others aspects of game! What you don't need is a gun dropping out of a race holster, like my friend did after his run on a stage at this years Limited Nationals. Luckily, the RO saw in his face that he didnt know he dropped it and didnt DQ him. I shoot a DOH for Limited and really there isnt very much time difference between the two holsters when drawing. Buy BULLETS!!!!!!!! thanks
