  1. I have been spending any extra money buying what I can, plus I moved half way across the country a few months ago and have been getting settled. My dry fire will begin again on Jan 5'th and I will be buying an XD9 soon so that I can shoot less costly ammo (was shooting limited but I sold my press some time ago and need to buy factory ammo at this time). I look forward to developing my shooting and have content to add to the shooting discussions on the board. Until then I am left with posting on the random daily life stuff. But atleast I am here trying to be around the culture. ugh, Phil
  2. Z is right, age is relative. On the other hand my wife and I did start to feel old when some boot showed up and we found out what year they were born. It doesn't help we are in our mid twenty's going on 40
  3. I shot a bunch of matches with Larry when I lived in area 8. I sent my HK to a guy he recommended and I am in desprate need of two hammer springs . My contacts for Larry and the gunsmith are not up to date. So if anyone has Larry's contact info: PLEASE PM ME...DO NOT POST HIS E-MAIL ADDRESS IN THIS THREAD Thanks to anyone who can help, Phil
  4. Sounds like you have the right outlook. Phil
  5. I have heard the praises too, but 22+1 WOW! Is that with an STI or SV mag? None the less, well done HSMITH Phil
  6. I think you might need to get out more. JT might be on to something there, but I think that clean lines with a good finish are the way I like my guns.
  7. That is just a clever play on words. There are obviously plenty of stories out there that prove that these are not "the best gifts ever"
  8. Read Brian's book and get a hold of Steve Anderson's book Refinement and Repetition. Then start practicing and start going faster... practice getting your reloads smooth (fast will come once you achieve smooth). Keep us up to date, maybe start a range diary on the board. Phil
  9. I think you should go with the gift card to the dallor store.
  10. Seeming that the money went into a "fund" of sorts surely David Spade is buying other toys too. Regardless good on him!

Sounds like the way it should be.

    My cat

I think mine is not to far away from learning how to open the DVD player... there goes watching a whole movie. If they learn how to open a door? Door chain. Phil
  13. +1 on that . And not to rush anything but this post will give something to think about... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75750 Phil
  14. Not much longer and she very well could be picking up your brass too...
  15. Sorry to hear about you and your family's loss and for the loss of his church. Take comfort in your father's relationship with God. Phil
  16. I have a fun thread started about your car breaking down after you pay it off http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry876719 My question stems from something I read on some car board. If you have an automatic transmission and your car turns off while traveling at 45-65mph and you put the car in nuetral while coasting to restart your engine...what happens when you put your car in gear at that speed? I hope I don't have to find out first hand, but I figured it is one of those things that is go to know but expensive to "try". Thanks, Phil
  17. Just one more thing to throw on the pile. Good ice storm last night, came out this morning to help my wife scrap her windows, go to get a scraper out of my car and SNAP the DOOR HANDLE comes OFF! WTF!!! Atleast it was not my driver side door...
  18. 1. As a shooter, your most important job is... (Easy one.) See the target. 2. A goal of practice should not be... (You can also add a folllow-up sentence if you're feeling it.) without challenge. 3. Whatever you are trying...be aware of everything around you.
  19. At 26 I may be closer to the play station crowd, but I will say I enjoyed Charlie more because it told a story. When I watch Willy I see a crazy (for no reason) guy who is odd for no reason. I will agree that Charlie may be on the darker side than Willy and therefore limits the audience. .02 Phil I guess it should be said that Charlie is one of my favorite movies.
