I run a 1 bay 8 stage match, and have shot 8 stage matches at different locals, majors, with multiple bays, varying skill levels, etc. I think your back in the day 3 to 3.5 hours is incredibly fast. And I'm incredibly jealous =P. It's almost nearly impossible to acccomplish if you have shooters with different skill sets shooting together.
The match must've had extremely high number regulars who shoot the match, super helpful painters ready to go without being told, there's probably no to minimal socializing, linked Bluetooth timers (paper, pen and yelling to confirm times to each other slow this pace down), and bays that are extremely laid out close together, amongst other factors that speed up the match. It sounds like an awesome dream match I'd LOVE to shoot.
I'm curious what range this was at and what was the range layout?
