  1. I’ve been shooting a Wilson/Beretta Brig Tac in production and 2/3gun since they came out. Mine came with the trigger job as well. The only thing I’ve changed is I added a fiber optic front sight, a LTT trigger bar for a sweet reset and I run a Wilson Combat 11.5lb recoil spring cuz I shoot a light load of 4.2gn of Titegroup with a 147gn bullet. Love this pistol and the way I have it set up works well.
  2. I’ve been using a Wilson Combat Beretta 92g Brigadier Tactical since they came out for production division & 3 gun. I really love it. If I had to start over with a new pistol now I’d probably go with a Langdon LTT. I like the traditional grip and it’s the only model that they take off the sharp point where the trigger guard connects to the frame next to mag release. During long shooting sessions that point can rub my middle finger raw. I may pick one up with a trigger job to back up my BrigTac eventually.
  3. I use my 92 BrigTac for 3 gun and USPSA but I ordered an APX to play around with. What are everyone’s experience with this platform especially if it was used in competition?
  4. I concur, it does shoot softer but I can't stand the way it meters out. Like dog poo.???
  5. I have a Geissele G2S trigger in my 3 gun rifle now and was looking to upgrade to a faster trigger. The reviews of he Geissele Super Dynamic 3gun trigger seem favorable and i can get it for under $200 on sale. Has anyone used this trigger and what are your opinions of it for 3gun competition. I shoot mainly under 200yrds and alot of hoser stages. Any other options i should look at enstead for $200 or under? Thanks.

  7. A VP9L set up for production division: 5" barrel Short reset trigger with over travel stop. Bigger internal magwel Bomar style adjustable rear sight, fiber optic front Get rid of that groove that the trigger passes through and rubs my finger.
  8. I heard Power Pistol has excessive muzzle flash.
  9. I'm looking for a load to simulate 124grain NATO FMJ or +P self defense rounds like Speer Gold Dots or Hornady XTP. I will be shooting these out of both pistols and carbines. I really need some suggestions on what powder is good for obtaining both velocity and accuracy with 124 grainers for this type of load. Thanks.
  10. I was curious if any professional/Top Tier shooters in some of the more popular disciplines like 3gun, USPSA or IDPA use a Steyr pistol? If not, why? I would think the Steyr's attributes like low bore axis, great out of the box trigger and comfortable grip would be desirable in a competition pistol.
  11. Do more Pros use strong or weak or is it pretty much split down the middle?
  12. How does one get a chance to shoot at USPSA Production Nationals? Do you just sign up on a first come basis and pay the fee or do you have to do a qualify in some manner? Very curious.
  13. I'm shooting Superstition Mountain at the end of the month. Its been quite awhile since I've shot a big match so I was wondering how many shot shells I should have on my belt for a heavy shotgun stage and how many pistol mags I should run on my belt? My mags are 18 rounders. Thanks Steve
  14. I just got it the other day so it isn't even mounted yet but after checking reviews and such I went with the Burris 1-5 XTR II. It's in the $700 price range.
  15. This may be a stupid question but how do you use the mil marks? Do you use those like tiny crosshairs for the different distances?
  16. BDC or MIL retical? I've never used either before.
  17. I know there is a big price difference between the two but how does the Burris XTR compare to the Vortex 1-6 Razor HD II from those that have seen or used both? Such as fov on 1x, clarity and retical? Would you be giving up a lot going with the Burris? I know it's about 4oz lighter. Thanks
  18. In the past I've just used a wilderness belt for the various competitions I've participated in. I'm gearing up for the coming season and figure I would go with a inner/outer belt set up. Some of the options I'm aware of are the safariland, cr speed and DSG belt. I like the idea of the safariland with the ELS fork system but it doesn't clear how u attach the forks to your holsters and other pouches and such. The pistol I will be using is a Beretta WC Brigadier Tactical and there is a limited holster selection for the characteristics of this pistol. I have a Wilson Combat Practical Assault holster that works but I don't know if I could adapt it to the els forks and it has 1.5 belt loops not the 1.75 of the safariland belt. So ELS seems confusing. Or I could go with one of the other belts in 1.5 and use tekloks to attach my accessories. I have no experience with two belt systems and the various attachment system. Any help would be appreciated! Steve
  19. I'm going to shoot Superstition Mountain this spring for the first time since 07. I'm putting together my gear and I was thinking about what to use to carry spare AR mags. I have this Costa upper thigh rig that I used for a class and thought that it might work well for 3 gun. What do you guys think? Or should I just go with a belt mounted Blade Tech? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks. http://www.skdtac.com/HSGI-Leg-Rig-V1-p/hsg.401.htm
  20. This company Everglade Ammo is selling 124grain FMJ (not plated) bullets with a concave base for $89 for 1000. Seems like a really good price. Anyone use bullets from this company, how are they? And is a concave base on a FMJ a good or bad thing concerning accuracy and such? My load is 4.5 grns of W231. Thanks
  21. The Custom Carry Package looks freaking sweet! To bad its not legal for Production or SSP divisions.
  22. Thanks guys, that's what I thought.
  23. I've been reloading for a while now on a Lee Turret press. I've been cleaning the primer pocket after I size and punch out the primer. I was thinking about progressive presses and it dawned on me that most people who use them probably don't clean the pocket cuz they would have to take the shell out of rotation and slow down the process. Is cleaning the primer pocket necessary? Who does it or doesn't do it? Thanks
