  1. The Mark 7 was deigned to work with the 1050 and the 1100. You should have gotten a manual with the Mark 7, if not you can go to their website to obtain a manual. The manual will be instrumental in understanding how to setup the Mark 7. The difference in installation as I understand it is there is mounting holes on the base for the 1050 and the 1100 and there are two different slots on the pulley as well. One slot for the 1050 and one for the 1100. You MUST have the 1100 mounted on the correct holes on the base of the Mark 7 and the correct slot in the pulley must be used. Otherwise you will have indexing issues. On a side note, if you did receive this second hand and the unit came with multiple pulleys it could be the unit you purchased was the original version where someone upgraded the motor/interface board/pulley to update the unit to load at max capacity. This would have increased the output up to something crazy like 3200 rounds an hour. If you bought it used and you have 2 pulleys contact Mark 7 to help you identify the correct pulley. The learning curve with automation is steep. Mark 7 support is your friend. There is also a Facebook page that is pretty helpful. Good luck.
  2. PCSL scoring is Hit Factor scoring and the big difference with Max's PCSL targets is the Kilo zone, which is a zone in the head box that counts for 2A with one shot in the Kilo zone. The PCSL targets are noticeably smaller on the whole when compared to normal USPSA targets. I dislike time plus scoring for two reasons. The reason @RJH mentioned, and I feel two hits anywhere, rewards inaccurate shooters. While I get that 3 Gun is a completely different game, I too feel something is being left on the table in regards to scoring.
  3. I think most will tell you they have been shooting target focus with Irons for targets 10-15 yds and in depending on the shooter, for some time now. So I do not think it matters as much to those top guys as you indicated further down in your thread. I think the disparity is bigger once you get to the lower classifications. On the whole it would depend on the match more than anything when it comes to the top guys. It was Race Nationals last year where most of the match favored Dot shooting. The first Limited Shooter was Nils at 32. It would be hard to believe that if Nils had a dot he would have finished outside of the top 5. Although I do not think most matches fall in this boat it does happen.
  4. One has to ask if you feel you have to come up with this solution to prevent Turrets from moving are you using the proper tool for the job?
  5. Never had any PMags malfunction in ARs. If I did it would end up in the trash as $10 is a cheap price for reliability.
  6. Sounds like the same malfunction to me. Both of which seem to be user error by not maintaining a clean Extractor and/or Extractor spring. Because of Max's Malfunction and post I make sure to keep this area free of carbon. Makes complete sense if carbon is packing that area that it will not work correctly. Maintenance intervals are obviously going to depend on the type of powder used. Per Max in the thread linked below: "That was an unlucky malf. I hadn't cleaned or removed the extractor in 15k rounds. Only maintenance I did was infrequently wipe out the inside of the upper receiver and the bcg with cleaner, then re-lube. Fouling had started to build up around the extractor causing the tension to lessen. I did check the tension prior to the match, but only with my finger, not a casing, so I didn't realize how much build up there was in the crevices." Maybe I am not understanding Max's post correctly. But as I read his and the post above it would seem it is the same malfunction to me.
  7. I has nothing to do with the operation of the trigger and more of the trigger configuration inside the lower receiver. The SSP is a two piece trigger like the SD-3G so it should work just fine. The bulk of a cassette trigger is an issue as they interfere with the Ejector inside the lower just above where the trigger is installed.
  8. Maybe @Bdh821Can chime in. Although I have not seen him on the board lately, probably because he is too busy smashing right handed PCC shooters, he could probably fill you in. I do not think it's an issue as he has never mentioned it. Here is a thread with some video of him destroying some steel with a JP5. Scroll to the bottom of Page 30 to find the video.
  9. I honestly think that 98% of the membership is on this boat. The weird thing as mentioned previously in this thread, this thought seems to be completely ignored by the organization. For what reason exactly? It is unfortunate more do not the like the 10 round capacity game. While it is not my cup of tea, I am amazed from time to time on watching good to exceptional production, single stack and revolver shooter stage plans to figure out the puzzle. Occasionally it makes me look at a stage differently as a high capacity shooter.
  10. I get that, and I am not advocating going to 140mm mags for production. I think 15 rounds capacity would get more to shoot/stay in production. I understand the love of some for 10 round capacity for production, but who exactly are they shooting against? Next to no one is shooting production and other low cap divisions. Its like showing up to a match shooting a revolver. He wins upon arrival because he is the only one shooting that division usually.
  11. Ask some of them. It most likely means there is a place to shoot guns like 2011s (SA Only guns) where on the whole the guns don't beat themselves to death. I know a few open shooters that are over shooting open due to what it does to equipment. A few have mentioned if CO was around when they started open the would have never went the open route. Some indicated they may move and never buy another open gun and move to LO down the road. With that said in our section I have not noted a bunch of Limited and/or Open shooters shooting LO. Mostly CO folks. I really do not understand the organizations aversion to switching Mag Capacity of various divisions.
  12. The same person writing the RO, CRO exams obviously.
  13. Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!
  14. I am in for the long haul. Shooting 2011s are a blast and by far the most fun I have shooting. It will be interesting to see where it goes and the changes made in the future.
  15. Vans, or any similar Skateboard shoe. I have yet to slip once using Vans. I wonder if deck shoes for sailing would be good to? Although those are not designed to run in.
  16. I think it is funny because you don't care to invest in a dying caliber that you "Don't Like Recoil". Make all the assumptions you want. I have no issue shooting 40 and most likely would invest in 40 caliber LO pistol if they did make it a Minor/Major Division. Shooting 40 caliber guns are amazing and a blast to shoot and its most likely my favorite caliber. However, I cannot currently see investing in a caliber I personally do not see growing in popularity anytime soon. In fact it is my opinion that 40 is dying across the board. Essentially 40 only exists for shooting sports which is such a small segment of the gun market who knows what the future holds for that caliber, let alone Major in USPSA in general. I have commented more times than I can count, I was fine shooting CO as currently constructed and have no issues with it. I can shoot my 2011s anytime I like, and shoot them regularly in multi gun sports. I personally DIDN"T wish for USPSA to create LO, but for me and many others it is cool they did. If my memory serves me correct, you said the USPSA board should put it to a membership vote and they did upon which the USPSA board created the division the majority of what the people voted for, YET YOU STILL KEEP CRYING ABOUT IT. As far as reloading you comment is hilarious considering you shoot Limited and keep crying about allowing Major in LO so all you have to do is mill your Limited guns to play. LO pretty much requires only one reload the same as every other popular division is USPSA today. Open, Limited, CO and LO pretty much require one reload any just about any course of fire in today's USPSA. Occasionally open will get away with not having to reload. Your ramblings make as much sense as all of the rest of them and much like @RJH's comments about a month ago I am over them. We get it. YOU'RE A MAN'S MAN, You shoot A MAN'S CALIBER. Great have fun. The rest of us can have fun with a caliber that is probably going to stick around way longer than 40. 2011s are a great platform. There should be a division where they can play without having to shoot Major to be competitive. You can cry all you want about how 9 mm is a pansy caliber, but the majority of the world DOES NOT CARE! P.S. I would be pissed too if I had a ton of money invested in 40 caliber equipment to watch it die a slow death. I guess a part of me understands your angst. What I don't understand is constantly projecting that angst onto other people.
  17. I always go back to essentially they have created a Division that you can truly shoot what you brought for the most part, and not be at a scoring disadvantage. Is that a bad thing?
  18. It is cool to see 2011 platforms at a number of different price points now.
  19. Yea, my point was most are modifying the Prodigy before participating in LO. As to where with Staccato and other 2011s they are just running them.
  20. I was curious in this for people running Shadow 2 and the like for running LO who have been running CO and are use to the DA wouldn't make more sense just to continue to run DA like you do in CO? This way you can run both divisions without issue. When I switched from Striker fired guns to the 2011 platform I was not used to riding the safety. This led to me inadvertently flipping the safety on from time to time. Initially with unloaded table starts I would always flip the safety on during the loading process. It took a bit of training to remember to ride the safety, and fix my unloaded table starts.
  21. It already has been interesting seeing what people are doing. People running 2011, vs slapping magwells on their CZs, people upgrading a Prodigy, people building LO specific guns from different platforms etc. It has been a mix of guns so far. If I had to say which gun was predominant in LO it would be CZs. At least in our section that seems to be the gun of choice.
  22. I think the data points LO will provide are important for future changes to divisions and Power Factor for that matter. I do not know anything for certain. I have opinions. It is my opinion that certain calibers and interest in Major PF divisions is dying. There is a lot of untapped interest in the 2011 platform that really does not have a home in a Minor only division. Those are opinions, only time will tell if that is true or not. LO is an excellent division to answer a lot of these questions. If LO as currently constructed and CO become to two largest divisions, this answers a lot of questions. If 2011 do not dominate LO, then wouldn't that indicate that SA guns would not dominate CO? If they do then we can say with certainty that is what would happen in CO if did allow SA guns in there.
  23. You mean we could have allowed SA guns in CO and nothing would have changed? Shocking.
