Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Received rifle today. No blow back, low recoil, nice shooting rifle. Thanks for all the input.
  2. Looks good to me. I think I will give one a try
  3. Anyone have any experience shooting the JP-5 left handed. My concern is gas blow back in my face. Thanks.
  4. How is the recoil compared to the AR platform rifles.
  5. My M&P 40 Pro does it. At first I thought there was something wrong with it. Called Smith they said to send it in. I then decided to load some mags up with practice rounds and try in in my shop. I found that when you slammed the mags in at slide lock they usually go forward, both in a Glock and an M&P. I tried several different guns they all did it. It is my believe that the frames flex on the the polimer guns and the slides goes forward. Best to avoid slide lock.
  6. I have been shooting minor loads in my 40 Pro, it is very soft shooting. I use a 180 grain lead bullet and 2.8 to 3 grains of Clays. Liked it so much I sold my M+P Pro 9. Hopefully it will be production legal soon or I may not like it as much.
  7. I was curious as to what load you are running in your Steelmaster and if you changed the recoilmaster out for something else. My wife also has a Steelmaster which we are thinking of shooting major loads in. Thanks
  8. I think the "Red Dot" mount they are referring to is there now discontinued "Red Dot" Model which fit the JP mounts. I will be calling them shortly to clear this up.
  9. I found a site mounting them on M+Ps and Glocks http://www.bowietacticalconcepts.com/pictures.html. There is a possibility Trijicon makes adapter plates for Docter and JP mounts. I will call them in the morning and report back.
  10. I have a question to add to the mount pattern question. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith who can mill a slide with the correct pattern to mount the RMR direct?
  11. I would like to shoot my revolver in USPSA with a red dot sight. I would also like a chance to shoot my 627 in a revolver division. Just my 2 cents worth.
  12. I visited with STI about the 9mm major issue when mine was in the shop as well. They told me it would work but recommended installing a heavier spring or recoilmaster. I can't remember the exact spring they recommended.
  13. My wife has a Steelmaster 9mm. We had problem numerous problems with it. First the ejector broke, STI sent us one and the local gunsmith installed it. We still had ejection problems. I called STI back and they asked me to send it in. I am not sure what all they did but it now works without fail. I asked them to check and see if it was one of the early STI 9mm slides with the bolt face issue. I don't know if mine was one of the early slides or not. This issue is discribed at gansguns.com. Long story short STI did a great job repairing the gun in a very short period of time and I am a happy customer. The load I am using know is 6.6 grains of HS6 and the 124 gr MG CMJ bullet. I may experiment with major loads later.
