You could go back to 4.0 grains and shorten the OAL. Hodgdon manual uses a 1.200 OAL if I remember correctly. You might try 1.220-5 or shorter.

I have had both 35/24. If I would do it over again, I would go with the 24.

I load 38 supercomp and 9mm on a Sq Deal. Instead of changing the dies from 38 sc to 9mm, can I just change the shell plate to 9mm and make the adjustments to the 38 sc dies down to load the 9? Wanted to ask before I start attempting. Thanks, DWB

Don't have a 30s, but have shot the 21 and 30 a bunch. It's hard to beat Clays with 230 grain(jacketed) bullets for soft shooting. I would start with about 3.6 grains Clays . OAL 1.225-1.235

Liabilty NO! Because some,not all, have a bad habit of putting their finger on the trigger when they should NOT. NY city police dept has many stories early on when they switched to the G-19. And from their latest shooting on the streets with their 15# triggers where numerous people were hit with errant bullets or shrapnel from bullets, do you think the heavy trigger defense will help any in a court ?

If you're talking about Nats at St George, you'd miss a number of national and state parks with unbelieveably gorgeous scenery within a 300 mile radius. But I'm biased. Also, whether you want to believe it or not, there is a mystique with Nats. There is to me, anyway. I live about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Mountains and a couple hours from the Atlantic Ocean! I have seen great views. And the "mystique" you speak of, you are the first person i have ever heard mention that. But, I did notice you did NOT go on about anything match or shooting wise. That's my point, what sets it apart from good Area matches or state matches to make it worth the effort and cost?

After reading through this thread(quickly).it would be hard for me to justify a trip to the Nationals. When there are plenty of quality Area, Sectional, and State matches nearby and run with great efficiency. Not to mention that Frostproof is also in reasonable driving distance. I could easily see the Fla Open as (my) Nationals. Hit two Area matches(6&8)and a handful of state/sectional matches through the year. What would be the appeal of buying a plane ticket, ship ammo, rent a car, pay for a hotel/food for 3-4 days, after seeing all that "seems" to be wrong with the "BEST" match of the year. I'm not trying to deter other shooters from going. But, can someone tell me what I would be missing?

That sounds like a recoil induced 2nd shot. I don't think the connector will cause this. Did you do any work to the trigger bar?
