  1. Sorry to hear that, I know that has gotta just be devastating. Try to shake it off and shoot well, never a better time for all Alphas!
  2. Looking forward to this match, all the stages look absolutely fantastic! What time is registration Sat am?
  3. After watching many GM's shoot it is apparent the eyes tell it all. This pic is proof positive of the intensity with which they shoot. Thanks
  4. After looking at Jerry's results, beating him on ANY stage deserves congrats, so congrats! Well done!
  5. Please don't tell me you are married to one of my ex-wives............
  6. I assume you didn't actually crack the barrel? Sounds like a little luck fell your way, maybe it will continue and you'll have a superb match!
  7. 3 Words:Trigger,trigger,trigger!
  8. +1 for titegroup, economical and very consistent
  9. I agree, but we old guys now how to pace ourselves
  10. Welcome, this is the place to be for all your shooting info. Be patient and good things will come!
  11. Just what I was thinking. Well except for the glock part +1 including the Glock part
  12. Been shooting 2+ years and worked Area 6 matches 06 and 07. Although inexperienced, I feel I was treated well. Shot the match for free, was paid a daily amount and was treated to the special prize table. Can't complain but damn what a buttload of work. I advised the Area 6 staff I would just pay to shoot if the only stages they could find for me to work had Texas stars. After picking up hundreds of plates and painting them just gets old........Still invaluable experience!
  13. Great job. The name is more important in this case than the division. Superb!
  14. Had the stage fully memorized and what I thought was a good strategy. The stage was similar to stages here at home and I felt a good/great run was a certainty. Problem was equipment ie: preperation. Using a magazine not proven in competition. So yes, preperation was a serious problem. Bottom line, learned from that mistake, will NOT happen again. Certainlly a pleasure meeting you, your book has helped me a great deal. Thanks
  15. Lost 13 lbs before the Ohio match, gained 4 while there(mostly from barley and hops). Now gotta loose 10 before Tennessee and be below 300.......That's my goal........Good Luck!!

  17. If you take your time a mini mill can turn out nice stuff Nice work, what type of mill do you have? What's the best source for a quality mill?
  18. All I have to say is beware of the Georgia boyz!!! See ya at Area 6 next year... +1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 It was a friggin' drive by kegging...Georgia-Style!!!! Damn terrorists. Hopefully a few dozen pitchers of beer didn't cause any performance issues on Saturday, if so my/our sincerest apologies,
  19. Not learning from mistakes made. After every match I try to learn to correct the mistakes made. I also keep a diary and refer back to it. Not watching and listening to more experienced shooters, they weren't born that good. Not having equipment or ammo that runs. Usually because they read too many gun mags where all guns(ie:advertisers) are the latest and greatest.
  20. To all match personnel, thanks for a great time. IMA45 and myself enjoyed the ride from Georgia, enjoyed the beautiful farm country scenery, and especially all the great folks that worked so hard to make it happen. Already planning a return visit next year! And for the NROI staff we had dinner with Friday night at Roosters :
